Hey all Okay, i have a problem with my Grandma's 1998 Corolla 1.8L AE102 The coolant level drops from MAX to midway after around 2 weeks. I top it up and it goes down after 2 weeks. The car has done 110K and has a minor service every 6 months. Water pump was also replaced around 2 years ago. Theres also a new radiator which was fitted around the same time. Any ideas?

To be honest, back in 07, i actually had my sights on a brand new [current shape] Corolla Acsent to replaced my beloved 1999 corolla. I actually only considered 2 cars. The honda civic sedan and the corolla. The sedan felt too big and i was put off pretty quickly. At first, i quite liked the corolla. LOoks were somewhat modern.... but after i drove it, it felt lifeless and really made me feel disconnected from the road. I was also fairly disappointed with the engine as well. I was pretty excited about the Dual VVTi with 100kw at the engine.. but it felt the same as my old 1.8L corolla.... Not a bad thing.... since i tihnk the AE102 1.8L engine was a damn good one, but i was just expecting much more.. There was a mazda dealership nearby and i thought... what the heck.. lets go have a look.. i came out the same day.. having signed the papers for a brand new 3.. awaiting delivery =P The corolla is a good car, but in terms of driving dynamics, the 3 is just in a whole different league.... and with some suspension mods, its even better =D

Hey all. Yes yes.. i know, i drive a mazda.. thought i'd say hi and relog into my old account. Use to have a 1999 Corolla AE102 1.8L Conquest. It was the car i learnt to drive in and it was pretty decent =) Changed up to a mazda 3 neo in mid 2007 and 2 years on, a few mods have ended up on the car. Looking at this .. 170Kw ATW... isnt that a little too much for a FWD ie wheelspin?? any other suggestions.. maybe a lil less powerful?

Um.. i have the Hatch Vi Model 1.7L VTEC 97Kw.. I want a car to play with.. and tinker with.. so im still thinking.. either my current corolla or new one

I also own a honda civic 2004 model. Does the acsent match this car?

Which car would be better to mod up? After looking at the prices of the new Acsent.. Being 21880 AUD, i'm a little bit interested in the best of both models. The pros and cons :) I've heard that the New corolla's have shocking suspension. Is this true?

I just thought that it was easier to mod thios model corolla and cheaper as well.. cause some peopel have said that the corolla with the vtti engines cost more to mod
