  1. Hey Steve, Have sent you a PM if you can get back to me If they are 4x100 Where in Sydney and if negotional. Thanks, Serge
  2. Wow, haven't been here for a long time :\ this place has improved a fair bit, loving it.. good work :) Back in June was when i purchased the car, been away for a few months so poor effort of the dedication to this forum I must say. I have completed most of the TO DO list for the rolla, still not finished though.. had a little something diff to invest in during summer :) but here I am again. I have detailed the car since I have purchased it but it is due for another massive one (next week or so) lol I have put in the corolla matts, genuine matts cant be beaten I recon and addition to that some taylor made seat covers 8) The windows are 15% tinted even though I asked for 20% but for $150 who can complain. The door sills work a treat.. biggest eye catcher ;) The leather two tone steering wheel cover looks awesome, adds luxury look and comfort while driving (steering wheel little thicker) I have purchase some King spring lows a while back but waiting on the wheels in a couple months and then i'll throw them on. What i haven't got yet besides the wheels is the stereo system. Got a quote from my old fellows from Sound Master.. splits and two way rear running of head unit, 12" sub running off 2 channel amp bridged.. Nothing as big as what i used to run in previous cars but just to improve sound quality and add a bit of bass in ya face lol. All the shiz is Kenwood as it is cheaper but does a beautiful job at sounding decant. $500 with cables. I purchased one of the DVD/GPS double din head units a little while back, from china that are a straight plug in with a TOYOTA logo. They are pretty good for the price so I'll be keeping it and hoping the sound quality is good. Once the system is in (next weekend) and i get the car into shape I'll put up a couple photos. But it will all look pretty standard until the wheels go on. Wheels make 110% more diff to the car. Good to be back :) Serge.
  3. Hey mate, I've got one of these for sale if you're still looking for something. I had it in my car for couple of months and don't use the DVD much nor the GPS so need the money and purchasing something cheaper and single din. Give me a PM if you're interested, Thanks, Serge
  4. I have 15% n a black rolla very scared when i think about insurance :\ I asked the dude to do 20% but he recons same darkness, so me the idiot said 15% is fine then. Its DARKK! but I still find it ok at night. Would probably recommend 20%. I got it done for $180 so if anyone is interested let me know. ps. looookss heapppsss goooddd :) Serge
  5. Got up pretty early this morning and started detailing the inside of the corolla. The carpet cleaned very nice as well as the seats. The Quick Interior Detailer did work wonders. The seat covers are on, the floor mats are in and the entire inside detail is complete. Also totally forgot about having the music on so drained my batt :( Tomorrow morning I will try and install the following: - two tone euro look wheelskins leather steering wheel cover - illuminated red door sills Sunday most probably get the tints and the speakers in couple of weeks. Still waiting on the DVD/GPS to be posted. Will post up photos when i get most of these done. So far happy with the result. Thanks, Serge
  6. Got them all now just gotta do it all lol Thanks to all. :)
  7. To me it shows a euro look, loving it!
  8. I am gonna go past super cheap today and was wondering since Brad suggested I don't use armor all protectant on the insde plastics, whats a good product to use to replace it? Thanks, Serge
  9. Thanks for the support guys, and some good suggestions Brad. I have noticed the real big shine using those armor all wipes on my old car, haven't used the spray though. I worked for a mobile waterless detailing company for a little while and have used clay a fair bit so yeh applying it to windows and plastics would pretty much have the same effect as on the paint. Except they would use all these waterless products which excludes the typical water wash, polish and wax. Well now its just a patient wait until a nice non rainy day comes :) Thanks, Serge
  10. It's black and it can get filthy. I have bought the car around two months ago. Since then haven't had the chance to drive it much let alone do anything to it (UNI grrrr). Before i start with any mods i decided to give it a complete detail inside and out. All i need now is good weather :) The plan is to do the inside first, engine bay, body work and then the outside. Most of the products are Armor All as I got a lot of them as a present. I see a lot of people value the Meguiars products here. Inside: 1. Get the seats out and plastics including the middle console. 2. Vacuum the **** out of the carpet 3. Condition the carpet (not sure what product, suggestions?) 4. Vacuum, dust, clean, condition the seats 5. Clean all the plastics - armor all protectant 6. Windows (inside) once cleaned on inside the following will go in: - taylor made corolla seat covers - two tone euro look wheelskins leather steering wheel cover - illuminated red door sills - genuine corolla floor mats - dvd/gps double din unit - new speakers all round - window tint Engine: Neighbor does it for round $70 includes entire engine bay top to bottom, wheels arches, and around the wheel area, breaks etc Body work and Spraying: 1. There is a little dint on the door that i'll get fixed up and colour code some plastics. 2. Remove all rear badges besides the toyota logo. Outside: 1. Wash the entire car with a sheepwools mitt and Armor All car wash liquid. 2. Clay bar the car using Armor All clay kit. 3. Polish it using a 'Turtle WAX color cure plus', black. http://www.turtlewax.com.au/classic.htm Now this polish is black, it comes in different colours to suit your car colour. It also comes with a chipstick. I never used such polish so wouldn't mind hearing from anyone that has or has some knowledge and/pr tips bout it. 4. Once polished I'll go over the car and use scratchX 2.0 where necessary. 5. Applying Armor All wax n polish. I don't know if I should be going over it with wax and polish maybe just some good wax? 6. Probably apply two layers of wax. See how i go with weather and time. 7. Condition all the plastics 8. Clean the windows 9. Wheels and tires will be knew so no work there. once cleaned on the outside the following going on: - chrome door handles - short antenna - springs - wheels & tyres I would appreciate any tips, extra methods, anything that could help me out. I will post up some photos as I go just so people can see the outcome with a different product and procedures of detailing their car. Big thanks to the tips posted on this forum about detailing as they've helped me understand a lot about detailing and using different products. Thanks, Serge
  11. That looks like a handy tool to have. As for the mitt guess i'll be purchasing it then. Thanks for that.

  14. I had a look at super cheap auto for the lambswool wash mitt. They had one with lambswool one side and bug and tar remover on the other (sponge with netting on top). They didn't have any others available. Do they all come like this or would I be able to pick one up from somewhere with the entire mitt as lambswool?
  15. Before I got my Ls a few years bak i used to dream bout owning a done up SX lol now its the sportivo. I was wished sweet dreams too often Very neat car mate! TOPS :)
  16. Congrats on the purchase mate and good luck with it all. For a 03 sportivo with the info you gave and from my experience a gr8 buy would be under $16k but common price they hold round $18k, thats in nsw as well. ps. Your wheels look tops.. I'd say 18s on a rolla is the shizz, haven't experience ride comfort though. Happy stay mate!
  17. Two in one, twice the fun lol.. Welcome mate and happy stay.
  18. The height looks great mate. I have some 4x king lows sitting in the garage that I'm gonna put on when I choose what wheels to get. Looking at your ride, it looks like I haven't made a mistake purchasing the lows. Top stuff!!
  19. U won't go wrong with them, as they say bulletproof!! Welcome and happy stay ;) p.s. 18" = siiiikkkk
  20. I recon an intercooler would look even better :D Welcome mate, all the best!
  21. Got rid of the old crappy photos. Since it was a nice day today I got my bro to wash the car for me so I took better photos of it... Proud of my baybee :)
  22. Leading on from my 'new member's intro' thought I'd get some photos going and mods that are coming up... A did a quick shot of the car today, bad quality and dirty so no good. I am not touching anything until the end of the exams. Its hard to look at it in that state n can not wait to shmick her up! Here's a write up of my short term plans contributing to her, sort of in rough order: - Interior detail - Engine bay detail - Exterior detail - clay, polish, wax. - Genuine corolla matts - Taylor made corolla seat covers - Tinted windows (20-25%) will see about the strength/darkness. - Illuminating red door sills - Wheelskins leather two tone (charcoal/black) steering wheel cover - DVD/GPS double din unit - Body work - small dent on door, respray some plastics etc - King spring lows - WHEELS no idea which ones, was tempted for 18x7.5 but will stick to 17x7. Black on black is sex but I was looking at contrast. Please have a look at the link below and any suggestion comment is appreciated: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...25&start=25 - Short black antenna - By that time thorough Toyota Service would be due (as it will be the first service after I bought it I'll take it to Toyota and get them to do an inspection and the service, It'll be a 50000km service) That will prob do for now lol Any opinions suggestions more then welcome. Thanks, Serge
  23. Thank you Rocky.. oh yet and not forgetting the fog light surrounds from 1rocky lol :P I am creating a new topic in Members Rides which will contain updates, new photos etc. Just not to get everything started and continuing in this intro section.
  24. Thanks everyone for a warm welcome! I took two quick snap shots of the car with my phone. Not only is the photo a bad quality one but the car is filthy. I will be very busy with her after my examas (22nd). I already ordered a couple of things which I will be putting on her. I though I'd write up my short term plans contributing to her, sort of in rough order: - Interior detail - Engine bay detail - Exterior detail - clay, polish, wax. - Genuine corolla matts - Taylor made corolla seat covers - Tinted windows (20-25%) will see about the strength/darkness. - Illuminating red door sills - Wheelskins leather two tone (charcoal/black) steering wheel cover - DVD/GPS double din unit - Body work - small dent on door, respray some plastics etc - King spring lows with wheels (no idea which ones, 17x7 though, tempted for 18x7.5 but prob not lol) - Short black antenna (if anyone has one they wanna get rid of please let me know) - By that time thorough Toyota Service would be due (as it will be the first service after I bought it I'll take it to Toyota and get them to do an inspection and the service, It'll be a 50000km service) That will prob do for now lol can not wait till i start Any opinions suggestions more then welcome. Thanks, Serge
