    thanks for looking :)

  2. sorry if this question seems totally retarded and out of left field.. but.... drawing from my knowledge on cycling sunglasses... would there/is there a car tint film which is "photochromatic"? ie. changes darkness/lightness with the conditions? or has this already been done?

  3. tonights the night!

  4. Wheel Brand: LWT EQUUS

    Wheel Size: 19"

    Wheel Width: 8"

    Wheel Offset: +38

    Tyre Size: 245/35/R19 PDW Altenzo

    Tyre Pressures: 40psi

Suspension Type: Pedders Extreme XA Coilovers (set up mainly for comfort)/Ultra Racing strut brace & Ultra Racing rear sway bar

Feedback: Very happy so far, tires a bit noiser than my previous RE001, but still bearable. will upgrade tires to RE050A once these wear out...

  5. Washed with Meguires NXT wash, waxed with NXT tech wax 2.0, cleaned the windows and gave the interior a wipe down. Pretty happy with the results. Might try Meguires Deep Crystal polish before the NXT 2.0 next time.. supposed to provide deeper better gloss. Any thoughts on that?

Losing light but you get the idea:

    NXT-reflection.jpg

wouldnt bother too much with the deep crystal...

    my suggestion would be:

either get a MILD paint cleaner such as swirlX.. and use that before you apply NXT 2.0.. as the swirlx has polishing agents inside, and also gets rid of minor imperfections...

or if your paint is already fairly swirl free, then try autoglym super resin polish...

ive had really good results with autoglym super resin polish... to my eyes it made my white a lot glossier.. and when i apply NXT2.0 ontop of it, it really shines hardcore :P

    hope that helps :)

anyway didnt do much to mine... pumped tires up to 40psi.. and got some isopropyl to prepare headlights for eyelid application :)

  6. That looks neat..the rims go well with car :) And is that a boot lip spoiler?

thanks mate, i see your a perthie, pls feel free to come by on monday night! south perth bridge :)

and yes it is a ducktail spoiler...

    Nice wheels mate :toast:

    what rubber you running?

cheers lee, still not in the same playing field as your BC's :P

for now their the cheapo PDW altenzo sport comfort tires.. when i wear these out ill get onto some RE050's... but so far have been pretty impressed with how quiet the altenzo's are..

WOW that's beautiful, sure has come a long way in 12 months :toast:

I still think the centre panel in rear skirt should be painted black :whistling: :D

haha yeah it has hey... is my first car that ive reeally gotten into the whole modding thing... before i was only into my sound systems etc.. but i think ive done mroe of less all that i want to it exterior wise... maybe still a few small changes but nothing major planned now... plus have a wedding to save up for...

oh and that middle panel... nah thats one of my fave parts!! hahah when my 30 days are up (allowing paint to de-gas) im gunna shine that little patch of white so hard that its gunna be like theres a mirror under the car! :P

thanks for all the feedback everyone :) i love the way the car looks now! still getting used to seeing it with the new wheels but im loving it more and more everytime :)

now i need a name for the car... suggestions???

  7. Rowan would be proud. Hehehe. Looking schmick.

Keep an eye on the signature image size as well mate. Your sig is taking up half my usable Firefox window on a 1920x1080 monitor.

thanks for the heads up Daryl, sig edited :)

and yes, Rowan certainly did pave the path for a few of us Aurion owners :P Althou mine are the 19 x 8 versions instead of the 20".. :P

    heeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyy nice rims

hehe thanksd mate, you were a great help in my decision process... please try and make it to the Perth photoshoot this coming Monday?? :)

  8. Ok all,

its this time of the year again... great weather... so get those cars gleaming, and lets get out there for a mini "show and shine" photoshoot :)

    here are what im planning...

Time: Monday or Tuesday (which ever is more conveinent for more people) night, approx 8pm

Place: we've have some good photos taken at the south perth bridge area.. so possibly start there and move somewhere later on if anyone has good suggestions?

would be a great opportunity for those who have been around to catch up again, and also for new commers to meet up and put a face to a car...

everyone welcome, even non toyotas (im looking at YOU chicken and And1!!)

lets see what interest we can generate... would be GREAT to see more aurions out there too!

    Dave

  9. sorry but the "TRD" look of that car makes me want to stab my eyes out.. even thou its a TRD style kit... it just doesnt look like a trd for some reason?? perhaps im missing something.. seems like the bottom of the lip is missing something compared to the proper TRD kit... but each to their own anyway...

the 2nd one looks OK... but still the black headlights dont do it for me..

as for the carbon look, maybe on a black aurion/camry.. but definately not that colour combo....

  10. just spotted your car on hampden rd! looks amazing in the in the flesh and i love the new rims! definitely stands out from all the beemers, mercs and the occassional porsche that frequent that strip

hehe i thought that was you! i walked straight past you as you were either getting in or out of your car! :P

have to give the car a clean before i take photos.. the guys sprayed all this glossy crap over the tires which has splattered onto the body :(

  11. went for 19's in the end.. will post pics of the kit tonight and with wheels later in the week :)

    anytime now

    anytime now

    pics by the weekend :)

just waiting for the 3rd coat of paint to dry on my eyelids before i go wetsand/polish/wax them all up...

  12. Never thought of that. I found an solution that beats tape. Its a Sika adhesive silicon stuff. The old man used to work at a place making caravans. This stuff is what they use to hold them together.

yeah sika flex would be an ideal solution if you 110% were sure they were going to stay on the headlight for good... as when i used sikaflex to stick the ducktail spoiler on, you have to lay down a layer of black "sikaflex primer" for the skiaflex to bite onto?
