  1. I cracked the bottom grey part of my bumper on my TRD the other day. I'm going to get it replaced under insurance. If I can keep the original, I'll let you know. I'm sure it'd be fine after a little plastic welding, If interested we could talk business. Probably won't happen for a couple of weeks yet though.
  2. Have a look at Melville Toyota. They've got a red 3500S with 7,000 k's for $38500.
  3. Wow i had no idea aye!! Thanks for the heads up tho!! Looks like i hav to be careful if i go looking for one.
  4. I think the TRD rims painted black on a black car would look great, especially with the red calipers behind. There is a black 3500S on Carsales with the gunmetal rims to give you an idea. You see quite a few black VE HSV's with the rims painted to match. Very tough looking.
  5. Just a quick update, had the rocker cover replaced, it was still leaking. Took it back and they discovered the cam cover is leaking. Another 3 to 4 week wait for parts and then a week at the dealers as it involves a complete engine out job to fix it. Hopefully this time the problem will be solved.
  6. Sorry if I'm confused, but are you saying that a TRD Aurion exhaust sounds the same as a stock Aurion. I borrowed a base model stock Aurion when my car was getting fixed the other day and I can assure you it sounds nothing like a TRD. The stock model is very quiet, the TRD isn't, even at idle.
  7. Just thought I'd let everybody know, I had my car looked at this morning at a Toyota dealer. My car is suffering from a crack or fracture on the cylinder head/rocker cover. That is where the oil is seeping from. No real problems, just whack another cover on. But, I wish it was that easy. Toyota don't have a replacement cover in Australia and it needs to come from Japan. I suppose that says that the engines are very good. Unfortunately I'm the only person in the known civilised world to buy an Aurion with an oil leak. Makes me feel like I've got another Commodore.
  8. I'll take some photos tonight and post them. It's already booked in at the dealers for them to have a look.
  9. I have a small oil leak on my TRD from the Cylinder Head Cover/Rocker Cover. Standing at the front of the car looking at the engine, it's the rear bank of cylinders closer to the windscreen. On the left front of the cover is a small hole near one of the bolts holding the cover to the block. There's a small amount of oil seeping from the hole. The oil is collecting on a small sill on the Cylinder Cover. Does anyone have any similar leak or can tell me why the hole is there and what does it do? Thanks
  10. Are you looking at the 3500SL that was advertised for $34990 on Saturday. Seems like a very good buy. Insurance you may find isn't much more. It's costing me $80 a year more for my 3500S than what I was paying for my 04 VY Berlina.
  11. Keep checking on Ebay. I got a new set of TRD mats yesterday for $149.
  12. Its red, I think "wildfire" is the correct colour, build no. 304. I don't pick it up for a fortnight yet, but I'll post some pics when I do.
  13. Hi everyone, I've just bought a TRD Aurion so I thought I'd join the forum and see what goes on in Toyota world. Always been a V8 Holden/HSV person but I'm looking forward to the change. Cheers
