  1. poor NSW, i paid a once off fee for my plates, and i get to keep them forever unless they are not actually designated to a certain car, then i'm supposed to hand them in
  2. its actually the front bar that was designed for the celica's, slightly modified to fit a corolla. same with the rear bumper. nice car actually, belongs to a guy named peter, he moved away from canberra about a year ago now, cant remember where he went. but i think he still has the car.
  3. The minute u drive your new car out of the dealers lot, it decreases in value by up to 20%, simply because of the fact that it is now officially a used car. stupid but thats how it works. best way to get a cheaper car is too shop around through all the dealers, as there are major differences between them all. if u want advice as too which dealer is one of the best around australia (east coast) PM me and i'll give u all his details.
  4. Why don'y you reply to custmer relations and advise them to get there act together. I have an August built Sportivo - its is SA - but maybe the Sportivo is not classed as a Corolla! Toyota Australia get your act together! All australian delivered corolla sportivo's were built in South Africa.
  5. yeah thats sorta what i was thinking, and if i do decide i want to do some track work, i've still got my stockies so there's no worries there. thanks mate, i think im almost convinced now
  6. yeah i thought that, but seeing how i'm at work 5 days a week with 2 carwashes and a detailing business, shouldnt be a problem!! (hopefully)
  7. haha ok so it is 93kw... poor pete! just trade it in for a sportivo, then they cant say anything!
  8. haha i think pete's getting sick of the whole 93kw business, he's ignoring us now!!! but pete, didnt u say your car had a cable throttle? then it couldnt be a 93kw one, cos i thought the 93kw ones had electric throttle so they could meet Euro III or IV emmision standards, whichever we are up too. maybe yours is one of the last with cable throttle and 100kw?
  9. yeah come on pete! it'll make up for you only having 93kw!!!!!! haha nah just kidding mate!
  10. thanks for the advice guys, im still considering them as they are the only ones i've seen so far that i like, and also cos they are white and no one has had any bad experiences with white that i've spoken too! anyone else out there ever used these wheels?
  11. hey mario! any reply to your email yet? did u decide to just go with TRD, i guess its easier and probably cheaper! let us know how it all turns out mate! cheers Michael
  12. are these the only alarms that can be fitted to a corolla so that the keyless entry still works? or is there a unit on the market that can be intergrated. or is it possible to program an aftermarket alarm so that the corolla key disables the alarm/immobilisor when the doors are unlocked?
  13. hey, what happened to canberra??? its not that bad a place, honestly its just got a bad image cos we have to house all those idiots, once u live here its really quite nice! 4 seasons in one day! happens like, everyday, and only 1.5 hours to the beach and 2ish to the snow, what more could u want? (except for a dragway, which the government is considering again - yeah sure)
  14. damn they are gorgeous, if only they did make them for our rollas! eggbert, i'm lazy too dont worry! (hey corzza, wanna make me a set? :P )
  15. i still prefer the pre facelift to the new model, esp when the sports grille is attached, facelift is boring cos u cant do any cheap mods like that yet to make the front stand out more. also, i had this problem in my 90 model laser, except it happened to me in peak hour traffic at 8:30 in the morning! but it was my pedal, so i managed to pry it back with my foot reasonably soon but damn its scary. but it was ok, about a week later the car was written off so it didnt matter anymore lol
  16. yeah still a sportivo... bought it with the front ripped off for under 10k gotta take sideskirts off to be able to replaced from mudguards. grille was just something we had lying around, and besides i got a sports grill getting painted now... sideskirts going back on in the near future, needed to find the proper doublesided tape to fit them back on... actually, i didnt mind it with the sideskirts off, as everyone thought the same as u, so if i nailed it they'd get a major shock
  17. mate, i love my stivo but i dont think u got a chance against either of them... sorry to say
  18. i think im gonna have to organise a time to cruise up to sydney so i can join in with u guys once, dam it sounds like fun
