  1. yeah they were the other ones i was interested in, but the ones i posted before i liked more and are on special :P but i found mine at tyrepower of all places, so not sure where one is near u but check the net i guess Tyrepower Dealer Locator
  2. yeah i guessed they were copies, they say RAVS instead of RAYS and VORK instead of VOLK, but hey, they still look good and i dont think the stickers should be too hard to pull off!
  3. yeah mate they do look alright... but yeah i know what u mean, 500 bucks is real cheap, makes u wonder. but at least they guy has got good feedback, so i guess his stuff isnt as dodgy as it may seem? who knows, i guess u could buy them and if they are crap u can flog them off ebay too! lol
  4. hey guys, has anyone here ever bought BSA wheels? i found some rims for my (blue) sportivo, and they're pretty cheap to so im thinking of getting them, but i just wanted to ask if anyone has had any experience with them before? i know they are only cheapies, but are they reasonable quality? anyone know what they are made from? here's a link to the wheels, they are only $1500 with tyres so thats pretty good for what i wanna spend, and i think they look great! CLICK ME!!!! there 17's and apparently the right offset, so thats alright i guess, but yeah, any help is appreciated guys! cheers Michael
  5. yo 'micky_tee u made you mind up yet dude? im getting the price tmolo and will order on friday, so let me know by Friday. rpereira's you friend wat colour does he want dude still havent heard anything. sorry man, i thought i had told u. i want black throwovers with the sportivo logo (sorry mate i dont have a pic or font name), but if the sportivo thing doesnt happen im more than happy with black with white trd logo! Tayles is still keen on white covers with black TRD logo! Thanks man
  6. I think it's 95. Can't find much info on it, I think the colours have been phased out for 95 and 98 Where did you see Gold? were there other vortex pumps around? I always forget whether Vortex is 98 or 95 so i look for a pump with both types of vortex. i saw it in docaster melbourne and i hardly can find the 98 vortex, no there wasnt any other vortex Vortex Gold/Ampol Gold is what Vortex 95 used to be known as. probably just old stickers at the petrol station. Vortex 98 is not available everywhere, but it is labelled with silver so u can tell the difference between it and 95 octane Vortex

    Whats a good TV?

agree with what was said about projecters, otherwise look for a Loewe, one of the best brands IMO
  8. why dont u just run the neons of the battery, remembering to fuse them, and then attach them to an on/off switch, which u could hide in that silly compartment thing to the right of the steering wheel?
  9. as far as i know, i think its a bass booster
  10. no idea what the colour is, but like mick0082, i'm happy with either, TRD is perfectly fine with me
  11. the gpx has 200nm of torque at around 4000rpm, so really not that torquey at all for a 6 cylinder. but then again, a 2 litre 6 just seems like a waste. One of my friends has one, he says its a gpx but im not sure cos its got nothing, the stivo eats it. however, he has spent more money on gearboxes than i have on my entire car.
  12. i hope u guys realise that the stock speedo's are very innacurate when it comes to the speeds you are talking about. sportivo rally car flat out along the highway (in NT of course :P ) needle was way off the edge of the speedo, and the expensive terratrip rally computer only clocked the car at just over 215km/h. have done then same thing in an evo 3 lancer, speedo way out at 200km + just thought i'd let u know
  13. mine last night had 53,777 km on it. i think its an early 2003 model, i bought it 8 months ago and so far have put almost 15,000 k's on it. thats not too bad i guess, when u consider that i live, work and go to uni at each side of town.
  14. this should be the entire list mate, and correct as far as i know. thanks for this, you can confirm both myself and tayles
  15. would love to help but i'm in canberra... not exactly up for the 3 hour drive just to ask the guy a question :P
  16. And it also handles like a corolla could only ever dream about. How was it on Top Gear when the bloody thing had so much grip and chasis rigidity that it was lifting wheels as he through it around. Have to wait to see the price though! Replacing the family car SP23 with it has crossed my mind a couple of times! Approximately $37k + onroad as quoted in Motor Magazine and Melbourne City Ford when I asked them. Confirmed pricing at 9Feb Melbourne Motor Show when its officially launched. I have a friend who is a Fleet Manager for Ford & he told me that there have been reliablity issue with the Focus in general & he also said that they aren't selling very well. Maybe this might change with the introduction of the XR5. Ford are hoping for alot from this vehicle as the last performance Focus was a flop even though Motor Journo's raved about it. Top Gear is a great show but very biased. Remember that the Focus is the biggest selling small car in the U.K. If you alrrady have an SP23 than maybe you should consider the new Turbo AWD version. This would be a great car if Mazda end up bring it to Australia. not AWD, mazda decided to be soft and make the Mazda 3 MPS only a 2WD turbocharged 3. will still be a rocket though im sure. :D
  17. why would they need to buy a runX from SA? i thought the fensport rolla had a 3S-GTE in it ie. already 4 wheel drive.
  18. got an email today from Caltex regarding this, it appears that "Low Sulphur Diesel" has been on sale for years, and they are introducing "Ultra-low Sulphur Diesel" into australia early this year so that light model diesel cars (mainly european) are able to run to their potential and correct EuroIV emmision standards. Ultra-low diesel is 50ppm, not sure what normal low sulphur diesel is, it might just be a name? who knows. but they are hoping to have most of australia with 50ppm Ultra low diesel by the end of the year. but you guys dont have Vortex 98 yet? im sure i saw some when i was up there, you're missing out!
  19. we've been buying low sulphur diesel for years, its all we are allowed to buy because of emmision laws. unless they are talking about the "almost" zero sulphur diesel they sell in europe which apparently is coming here also... not sure.

    Coolant for Prius

dont mix them together, whatever u do! made up of different compounds so not good if mixed! not terribly much difference between the two, but if your worried just flush the coolant yourself, its pretty easy... park on the grass wait for car to cool down pull off bottom radiator hose take radiator cap off to let it drain faster get hose and squirt a bit of water in the hole at top to wash out the inside a bit reattach radiator hose fill to brim with coolant/water mix (green or red) start car, continue to fill up till it overflows, dont forget overflow tank! leave car running for a bit, but keep an eye on in cos its gotta suck the coolant into the engine as well, so the overflow will probably empty pretty quick. then just keep checking it occasionally. easy!
  24. seriously old, seriously sold... ages ago.
