I'm actually in Belmont, so about 2km from Belmont Motor Repairs. I got my rego done with them in April. I guess the ease of getting there and back is a good point so I might think of them for the next service. I wouldn't mind doing it myself with some instruction from my dad who has been working with cars since before I was born, but I can't help thinking I need to keep it log book serviced to get a decent resale.

Usenet would be the absolute best thing for it, especially if you like obscure and hard to find music or only collect full albums. Though it is a bit trickier to use and you will need to sign up to a provider. I'd recommend Astraweb if anyone is interested.

Sorry if this is the wrong spot, couldn't think of anywhere more fitting. Anyway, I moved to Newcastle at the end of last year and I'm currently trying to find a good mechanic to go to. I've had my car done at NRMA shortly after getting here and that wasn't to bad, but does anyone have any recommendations for a mechanic they've used etc?

I got a quote today for something similar but with a single DIN. $400. So, I'm reasonably handy, and the guy explained exactly how he would do it anyway, so I'm just going to do it myself. Just googled 'car audio inner melbourne' and got http://www.audiofx.com.au/. Call and see if they fabricate stuff and then just pop in for a quote.

Lol nah, SuperDave is younger and with red hair. I've heard that changing ABS between cars can be an absolute nightmare though. Do you have any guides etc? -

Pete, Are Alpine speakers bad at all then? I've got the stock speakers and after putting in a new Alpine headunit I've lost a lot of bass etc so I was going to match the speakers and sub. The thing is, it's a 8 year old car that I intend to part with in 3-4 years so I don't want to spend a fortune. In saying that though, if there's little improvement, I also wouldn't want to spend the money getting the Alpine gear.

I voted for Meguiars even though I do use some AutoGlym products. I used to do the IT work for the Sydney distributor of Mothers (Command Auto Group) but at the time I had an AE92 so I didn't bother to take care of it.

Could you ask them what the go is if there's like 5 Sportivo Models and only one 1ZZ model? From what was posted earlier it looked to me like everything had to be the same.

To true. I overtook an undercover 22km/h to fast and he pulled me over giving me a pretty good guess of 20km/h to fast. He didn't book me though which is great since I intend to join the police and that wouldve delayed my application by a year...
