  1. I followed the instructions and the warning lights comes on when i bridge it.... however..... OMFG! that means my sender is broken :S I'll try one more time... letting it get down to the "E" line and see if it lights up!
  2. In pulling the dash apart on mine, i found it did not even have a bulb there, and when i put one in. it did not work. I would say it is a feature that the AUDM cars lacked... You must be joking right? Why would the AUDM remove such an important feature.... I don't even know if my is AUDM or JDM ST185 :P I think it is AUDM though....
  3. I've been researching this question for quite some time now. From what I've read, it should come on with approximately 5 to 10 litres of fuel left. But I've actually never seen it come on at all! Even with 2 to 3 litres left! Does anyone know how to test if my fuel warning light is broken? Or just the bulb has decided to kill itself after so much time in the dash? I'm judging the fuel only by the fuel meter but still wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. Hopefully it's just a blown bulb or something.
  4. I've been looking for some halo-styled lights for my Celica but eBay doesn't really have any good looking halo-styled lights... only this really gay looking one.... maybe you could point me in the right direction..... Preferably without city-lights (a.k.a. parkers) in the actual headlight as we all know that our parkers are outside the main headlight.... plus..... I've asked my LED supplier and he doesn't recommend LEDs next to a H4 bulb when it's on or been on.... too hot for the LEDs!
  5. Sunday if it's the Gympie one.... Because I've heard they let us use the skid pad from 8 till 4.... I don't know about the Mt Cotton one... But I have to go to tennis on Saturday arvos..... After looking at google maps..... It's like a super long drive for me to Gympie.... Since I'm in Brisbane... But I know most people on here are from Brisbane... So we can make it a cruise event + driver skill training + skid pan fun day :)
  6. Silly-Kar... Just wondering... Did you have halo-styled headlights on either car? Because it looks like diamond cut headlights... only...
  7. I have the same problem.... One day.. I'm going to strip all the T5 and T10 bulbs out and put blue ones in... one day... If you happen to be in Brisbane.... I could probably give you a hand after doing it myself.. I have the repair manual which tells me how to do it.... And yes.. ST185 is electronic ... not mechanical... it's 8 pulse.. not the standard 4 pulse that you get in most cars.... You should look up your wiring diagram to see which cable on your ECU wiring harness is the "SPD" connector.. should be a big fat connector... I'm suspecting it's your connection to the actual dial that's screwed...
  8. I wonder if any of those parts are suitable for an 3S-GTE engine... for a 5th Gen ST185 Celica..... Does the pop-up assembly have headlights? I'm considering to buy some aftermarket headlights after buying so many other aftermarket headlights that don't do the job I require. I'm currently looking at diamond cut or projector style 7x5/7x6" headlights with standard H4 bulb fitment. With regards to the bodykit, is it a Vertex one? I remember seeing it in Hot4s or FastFours as an ad... So many people have that body kit... I would like a different bodykit.... All in all... Nice ride!
  9. Yes... DBA does have both front and rear rotors for the ST185.... But they don't come cheap! Front ones from Autobarn (or was it Super Cheap Auto).... Are.... *suspense music* $190 for standard rotors and $280 for slotted....... I only asked for the front ones because I warped them apparently! Either from the time I crashed my car into a gutter and ended up breaking my whole front left wheel assembly or from the heavy braking + accelerating during the Just Commodores (another forum I am part of) cruise.... To Zoran: How much did it cost you to get those standard discs engineered? I really would like to get new discs on the front as the squeaking from the front left (warped) disc gets annoying at times. To JIP55: When I asked to get my front discs re-machined, he said that it was impossible because my ST185 only had 0.1mm left before it was too thin.... I asked him how much does a new rotor have to work with... He said 0.2 to 0.4mm from brand new to minimum thickness..... You are pretty lucky to have the choice of getting it re-machined.... Either you don't use the brakes too heavily or too much.... Or maybe it was replaced not long ago.... I'll check what the workable thickness is when I find my HAYS repair manual.... I remember reading it somewhere there...
  10. When I bought my ST185... It also had an immobiliser installed, I don't remember how I found out what brand they were, but I ended up going to the manufacturer to get a manual for the immobiliser and for them to install my turbo timer. The guy who was working on my car was happy to find out what the override code was. I know I probably still have it somewhere, but I have to find out where I put it! With the override code, I could disarm the immobiliser without the remote, by using the number of horn beeps as a four-digit override code.
