  1. Hi. Anyone know where to purchase a reverse light switch for an AE92 Corolla (3 sp auto)? Prefer new aftermarket if possible I'm located in Adelaide.
  2. Had my cooling system pressure tested this arvo by a Natrad centre (who I have used for years) and it showed no problems. They checked for all the regular things and all looked good. They were at a loss as to the problem. They advised to keep a check on the level and top up in the hope something noticable shows up. I had changed the cap on the engine filler but not the one on the radiator so will replace this next although if faulty I would have thought it would show up on the pressure test. As I haven't had the car for that long (done 10k since purchasing) I was going to get the timing belt changed (cars done 140k) so may replace the water pump at the same time. At least I can then eliminate that! Any other suggestions greatfully accepted....
  3. Yes I hope to take mine to a radiator specialist for a pressure test on Saturday but would be interested how you go too! I'll await your response and post mine as well.....
  4. Hi, I am having a similar issue in my 95 Vienta V6. I am losing coolant somewhere, needing to top up the coolant bottle weekly, up to 1 litre depending on how much I use the car. No visible leaks or puddles under car and no milky oil. The car is running fine and is not overheating. Have had the filler neck on the engine replaced as it was slightly corroded and cap replaced but no change. Also had it pressure tested by mechanic and was advised there was no problem. I am thinking of taking it to a radiator specialist for another test. Anyone got any ideas on where to go from here. Water pump?? Trebor1980, did you reslove your issue?
  5. Thanksl. I'll let you know how I get on. I may just but another cheapie radio if I can't get this one going.
  6. Hi everyone from another Toyota fan. I'm in Adelaide and currently own a 2002 V6 Camry Advantage, a AE92 Corolla Seca and have recently purchased a SV21 Camry for my daughter. Previously I have owned a 73 Corolla (which I still see on the road), a 77 Celica (Mustang style), a 1982 RA60 Celica before buying a Ford (big mistake) but came back to my senses and bought my latest Camry new in 2002. I previously also owned another SV21 Camry but the wife wrote it off in an accident. Bought the latest SV21 from its elderly owner as she gave up her licence. Hope to keep up with the latest tips through this site as well as possibly solving a small problem with the SV21 radio. (see post under Camry).
  7. I have connected the antenna into the socket on the rear of the radio where it would normally be connected. I have done this with 2 identical radios and 2 antennas and swapped one with the other and got the same result each time, all the local AM stations but FM is just noise. I'm not sure what you're referring to by plugging the antenna in at the back of the car to the right of the trunk. I didn't realise there was a connection there!
  8. Thanks but I have plugged 2 different antennas into the rear of the unit with no change in either unit. How can I get a copy of the circuit diagram?
  9. I have recently purchased a 1 owner SV21 Camry in excellent original condition (11/87). It replaces one that was written off a couple of years ago. It has the original AM/FM radio cassette player (Philips CS205A/TEN Model no CE-6330) as pictured in the owners manual (CS model) and whilst AM works FM is just static noise. Thinking it was broken I managed to find an identical unit from a wrecker and plugged this one in only to find exactly the same problem. Also replaced the aerial and tried it in differing areas in case it was a signal problem but to no avail. Is there something I am missing in trying to program in the FM stations. Any ideas would be appreciated. Surely I haven't got 2 broken receivers and 2 aerials that are no good!!
