The Manual Sportivo = 1225kg Manual Levin ZR = 1245kg The 100kw engine with Dual VVTi is an extremely smooth and tractable engine mated to the six speed which has a much nicer shift than our sportivo's however the power is nowhere near what we have. The suspension on these new hatches is a great improvment with torsion beam rear and further lowering of 10mm. On a test drive today a long sweeping corner was easily dusted at 100km/h and the vehicle felt extremely flat and undeterred on the corner (female driver 40yo). According to Toyota Northern Area Manager the lack of sportivo spec Corolla is due to the iminent TRD model due before the end of this year. In a conversation including our Dealership manager it was revealed that a turbocharged FWD platform is in the testing phase. Obviously touting power figures is always going to be a bit difficult to know the truth but we were told the vehicle will be targeting the major hot hatch market Toyota is missing atm. Yes I have it on authority we will have a TRD corolla by the end of this year and the production model is to be a FWD 2 litre turbocharged item with approx 200kw..... I was chatting with a head honcho at the dealer roadshow today and he says its in the testing phase with neil bates as we speak. Will load some pics tonight

Its obvious that most of the guys on these forums have never driven or owned a fast front wheel drive car, which is not a bad thing just alot of important info to consider. This guy has spent a lot of coin but not in all the necessary areas to create a SAFE fast car... I was having a discussion with Northy and TC the other night about my own turbo setup on my sportivo and these are some very wise ideas that have lacked attention.......... Rule number 1: Fast FWD lack traction so upgrades must include 1.5way LSD + uprated clutch. Getting all that power to the ground is difficult at best and coming out of corners will light the inside wheel like a joke. Rule Number 2: Increased power usually means faster speeds and longer stopping distances so either bigger brakes or better pads, braided lines, synthetic fluid must be fitted (DOT requirement atleast) I am personally looking down the road of at least 4 piston fronts. Rule Number 3: Increased power +++ Decreased airflow by sticking massive intercooler in front of the radiator spells massive overheating issues. Any prolonged high boost runs equals heat build up the standard system wasnt designed to deal with. Anyways guys here is somethings to consider if you are looking at big power hikes and keeping a SAFE reliable car. The costs involved in setting it up right can be staggering!!!!!!

Its not actaual carbon fibre its a special process that flows a layer on but it needs to be fully prepared like a painted panel then cleared at the end so hence its a specialist job

The carbon fibre interior is a very expensive process needed to be carried out by professionals it cost roughly $300 for all the parts covered

Just installed Vista and I think its pretty good, sure its going to take a bit of getting used to but for the average computer user it seems to be very streamlined to operate........Im sure there are those computer whores out there that it isnt hardcore enugh for ya but Im happy with the upgrade

Im am seriously sorting out the Blitz supercharger kit. You can source one through Autobarn in Australia designed for the ZZE123 and at around $10,000 landed here it aint cheap. I have a friend in Japan atm and I have been able to source a kit for 525,000 yen which is $5526.00 Aussie so as soon as I have saved it that kit is on the way. The Blitz Kit in Japan comes with a Blitz reprogrammed ECU so that will be a bonus I think :) Aiming to save for the kit by September this year

Hey guys/gals I decided to put up some info on my rolla. I am making it into a great drivable street/show car. Currently I have spent the majority of the money on the stereo in the car which I really enjoy. I have also completed a few mods to help keep the car feeling slightly modified. Digital Designs are helping me out with my stereo aspirations with some gear as we want to promote DD as SQ too instead of the SPL orientaited focus they have right now. To be a display car I have to lift the level of most areas of the car to a certain standard. I have included some pics of the car currently and some of the items destined for the car getting it ready for the Auto Salon on the Gold Coast in June. Recently I have had the interior covered in Carbon fibre for the centre console, power window switches, custom speaker pods etc. Rear of the car Side of the car Carbon Fibre covered dash Carbon Fibre custom door pods 18" Work Engineering XD9 rims Recaro Sportster CS carbon/kevlar/ leather/suede seats with matching trimming Also planning on istalling D2 Coilover Suspension, C-one Eyelids, Ganador Carbon Mirrors and Having the boot all custom moulded with the added DD stereo pieces. I have also decided to import a Blitz supercharger kit after much discussion with workshops it seems as if its going to be the most livable modification for the engine running day to day km's. The only part of the car I haven't looked at yet is the bodykit, unsure whether to change the standard shape if i do maybe only a different front bar as the factory rear skirt was fitted today and looks the goods
