the mesh at the bottom looks good but the top one looks a little bland, maybe the black mesh would work but that may be overkill the other way.

you should still find one with some warranty in that price limit, so you can get issues fixed, depends if you want base model or sx6 ctc.

in regards to the aurion, yes I would buy another. like any new car on production you will get minor issues. the transmision is only a software glitch and can be fixed under warranty. any built this year onwards should have the new software installed.

just lucky went to toyota to get new trans computer ordered and they told me there was a recall on the oil hose. and this recall was only recent, so will get this fixed at the same time. I wonder if I had not come in before warranty runs out would they have told me? <_<

thanks to your help lilbird, rang tuesday took it in this morning (fri ) head of diagnostics came for a run and as soon as we got back they are ordering the the latest ecu :D they also found that my car had a recall for an oil line replacement, so I will get that done too. once again thank you.

thank you lilbird, I think I will get cracking on it tomorrow, only got less than 3k warranty ( thats only 2 weeks ) travelling for me.

i can relate to the porsche effect, especially if you boot it ,say in 2nd gear and then back it off. i know there has been a thread or two about running nothing more after the resonator but would this be too loud, or would it kill any drone that I still have ?

I just used a quick drying enamel and sprayed it on the inside of the protector, you wont get any damage to the paint, and I do agree it would blend in. logos etc optional.

Sure about that? Because if the problem is resolved (ie. the fuel issue), the Check VSC error will disappear after driving for several kilometres or so. I've had bald tires before and did all kinds of sliding with them and never had a VSC error because of it. have filled up 3 times since putting on the tyres had to reset it remove the positive off the battery wait 3 seconds, put it back on. i did this before i put the tyres on it reset but 20 mins later on it came again. after the tyres went on did a reset again ( I call it a factoy reset lol ) and not a problem since. querky sensors i spose.

did they replace it under warranty or did it cost you ? I have the same problem especially 2nd to 3rd manually shifting, have to leave the foot off the throttle for 2 seconds before planting it again, i've got less than 5k of warranty left be good to get an upgrade.

the only theory I can think of is the sliding plastic plate when shifting to sports mode it may expose that section that you highlighted to the heat of the globe or even running the heater ( the pipes that feed the console vents ). just a thought. got another 16 hour day to test my theory.

well after thinking it was a fuel issue, it wasn't. in fact it was tyres, I still had michelins on the back and after 41k they had worn out ( never get them again ) I did read in the manual about same tyres tread pattern etc, 2 new gt radials to match and the problem solved. thanks to all who helped with this problem. :D

Although the previous replies say otherwise, I believe the Check VSC light was caused from the over filling. There have been a few previous posts confirming it, as well as on some American forums. Nothing to worry about unless the light comes back on. Also, I find the Aurion clicks when not full more than any other car I have filled up. When your about 70% through filling up take the hose out and wait a few seconds to let the the fuel settle then go for gold. thanks for that, I wont overfill it again, its been all good since the fuel load went down.

I would be taking it back ASAP may indicate a leak in the system.

yes I did that with my camry too. I was only wondering what the fuel load would have to do with upsetting the VSC maybe its a fuel pressure issue ?

did a siily thing the other night. filled the tank past the first click, went to start the car and it spluttered and the dash lit up like a christmas tree and in the display read (CHECK VSC ) checked all the fuses, nothing wrong there. after burning a bit of the fuel off it reset itself. dont know if anyone had same experience.

yes it has the square cut out, but didn't come with the seperate piece that just sits over the airbag zone. maybe thats why it was cheaper.

It just clips on with supplied clips, they are grey so I painted them black too. the main body of it has 4 screws that are fitted under the rubber strip . you have to remove the clips that hold the rubber strip coresponding with the slots in the protector, put in the screw holders slip the protector under the rubber strip and do up the screws.

welcome to the aurion owners club, I didn't find the leather seats comfortable either, but you will get used to it. definately need pics.

do u just paint the inside or both sides? My bonnet protector was painted on the inside to avoid stone chips I got AURION printed in chrome placed on the inside and sprayed over the top, painted the clips too, might have to put some black trim on headlight protectors too. .

dunno i fluked one at supercheap in hobart the only one they had in black, didn't have the filler spot for the airbag and got it for $29 very happy.

my mechs are ex co op employees who set up their own buisiness many years ago they only use genuine parts but dont charge like a wounded bull .

g'day daryl, yes I have got my fair share of paint chips, blinking gravel trucks ! I want the black one to go with the black trim ( grill foglamp surrounds etc ). would look better than clear.
