  1. Sorry I was told they were red. As I said I got the recall done but no sticker. Looked in the warranty / service book and there is no mention of it being done. also checked under bonnet and nothing there either. So I know it has been done but you can't tell by looking at the car. i had a look round my car yesterday and i have no sticker either so im unsure as im the second owner ima just call with me VIN and double check just call them , the not very busy, i only waited 10 second for some one to talk to me :)
  2. i found this on the net click i reckon it looks hart!
  3. spotted a white corolla, looks like a stivo, with maybe HID in madison garden in mitcham
  4. thank you everyone for their replies, and thanks again XOOM for all that info, yeah i might put the stock filter back in, i'll be a good boy :), yeah xoom, they still try to turn around on this issue, or maybe just the lady i spoke to.anyway i talked to toyota and lady said "recall? what recall? i didnt know there was a recall on corolla?" so i asked nicely if she could check for me and she had about 3seconds of silence and than sigh, "Oooookay, i'll check"! (dont tell me u had a long day! its 9am in the morning!) not very good, and she sigh so many times its not funny

  7. its all pre-facelifts :) , if u have a facelift model than you're ok
  8. first of all, i had been searching on this forum about sportivo recall, and would really like to thank some of the members on here specially XOOM, they really pushed the issues to toyota , without u guys we probably wont even get any recall! i had just found out that the 1st owner of my car didnt go to the recall!!!!! so i called toyota and they tried to ignore me at first but i keep pushing them, so after like 15min each speaking to service department and toyota HQ, they finally booked me in for next monday morning . my question is, whats the recall include? is it just the ecu and intake mod, or with the gear selector cable? i searched but some say its with the cable some say its not, remember i dont have warranty anymore, will they still fix the cable thing for me for free? i did ask toyota about it and they said 'it depends!' and also r there anything else needs to be changed besides this two? i have a Tom's panel filter should i get that out and put the 'normal' one in b4 i go?? r there any noticeable difference after the new ecu and intake :P ? again i searched, some say there is heaps more power in mid range, some says theres no gain? did the new ecu and intake made the stivo quieter? coz i kinda like the sound of it as it is now :D thanks everyone
  9. i heard that u can use vtec controler on VTEC engines but not iVTEC engine, VVTLI is like iVTEC so maybe thats the reason its harder to tune??? but not sure
  10. so even the stivo is stickered?! lucky mines black :P
  11. this badge looks awsome, it makes the stock grill look really good, u only have to look at kcorro(marcus) car
  12. Yeah but in the short run you pay less for a pre-facelift anyways. Corollas are great that's why we have so many proud owners here, join the club :D not try to argue :D , but u pay little more now, and sell for a bit more, so at the end of it its not much difference, so if u have the extra cash, i'd say get the facelift :) , also when u test drive, try driving it to 8000rpm and shift to second gear see if its easily done, or it wont let u into second gear, if it wont let u into 2nd, that mean he havent done the clutch adjustmen or he didnt do it right, if it doesnt have warranty any more, maybe u can bargain him on this point, even though it will only cost u 60bucks to adjust it, make it sound its a real hussle of course ya gonna pay more for the fazcelift and its gonna hold its value better because its a newer model. it comes down to what each person wants. i love the look of the facelift models but ya cant chop and change grills and stuff like the the pre facelift. also ya paying extra just for a different front bumber basicly. its my opinion anyway, he did ask for our opinions

  14. facelift worths the extra, i regret i didnt spend a bit more to get one, it looks heaps better, sexy front bumper, heaps better looking headlights, mp3 player, and plus it will hold its value better than pre feacelift in the long run i reckon
  15. i remember Danz said the s12 is smaller so its louder. depends how much for postage i might be in for one:), anyone else from melb in this group buy??
  16. thats the same thing i found, i had just put in some stiffer springs, it actually make me slower, maybe i have to change the way i drive too, at a same set of corners, with the new springs iam 5-10km slower than b4 :o , but iam 100% sure theres less body roll, would it be because the springs needs to be bed in? mines r only 100km old, or am i just a sh!t driver? is your kit new?
  17. cuz i might be getting a 2.5 inch exhaust later on when i have more money, but not sure, still try to decide
  18. monday afternoon about 4 30pm i saw an asian girl driving a stock red stivo in box hill shopping centre car park plate was SJJ XXX, she was driving pretty fast in the car park too :D
  19. how much to post to melb?? also if i get 2.5 inch inlet, will that fit the stock system??
  20. reading from the feedback, the strut brace guy sounds like a d!ckhead, always making it other people's fualt
  21. right hand side ones looks better than left hand side ones i reckon, but the gold one would probably looks 'not right' with black, i think bronze would be better...classy
  22. yes the summit front tower bar looks the same as cusco. it has the horse shoe ends and the bent bar design. but that is the only thing same since cusco make nothing more but the front tower for zze12#. if cusco did make other bars i would probably be interested since it should be a lot cheaper than toms trd c-one or carbing which have member brace and chassis bars cusco makes rear swaybars for our cars too, and it includes bushes, but a guy quoted 350 for it
  23. i think the subaru's trademark is boxer engine and awd, and they stick to that very well, wrxs needed a larger engine because its well known for its turbo lag,my opinion anyway
