Yep free apps. All my apps are working fine. Just need to go to the right site to download them. I have two different SatNavs on mine plus road camera traps (just in case). :P Everyone here at work jailbreaks their iPhone just for the SatNav; haven't met anyone with an iPhone that's not jailbroken yet. :D Depends what model iPhone you have. If you have the new one; the jailbreak will not permanently jailbreak your iPhone. It kills the jailbreak if you reboot/restart your iPhone. You just have to re-jailbreak again, which works fine.

If you have a key hole light, then hook it up there. That's what I did and works well.

Here's one I did on my 1ZZ-FE a while ago. Got the button from UK eBay and it's still working.

I didn't know it was shipped from Singapore. No wonder the deliverly was so quick. It was pretty cheap at the time cause of the high AUS dollar. I actually cut the wire of the shiftlight and wired it up to the cigarette lighter so you can't see the wires. All the wires are under the dash, and stuck the controller inside that compartment under the power mirror buttons -> that compartment you pull out. (Hope you know what I mean) For the vent, face both vents down and just pull it out slowly, it's very easy, it just pops out.

Have you tried http://www.pivotracing.com/ Bought a pivot voltage stabiliser and PIVOT SUPER SHIFT LAMP M a while back. Delivery was within a week which was quick for a US site. Installed the shift light inside the middle vent so you can't see it when it's not on. Works fine. Only problem with this type of shift light is that you have to rev up your engine to the rev that you want the shift light to turn on.

Yeah, I broke one of the black fasteners when I was trying to take them off. I stopped and glued it back carefully, then brought the car for servicing. When I got the car back there was 2 new metal screws in it's place, for free cause it wasn't in the list of items I had to pay for. So if you break it, glue it back and wait for your servicing and let Toyota think that they broke it to get you a new one.

The best way is to connect them to the key-hole light if your car has one. This way it only turns on when you get in or out of the car. I was going to do this, but haven't had the time as yet. Cheers.

I had this same setup on my 1ZZ-FE with a KnN filter. You really need a washable filter for this, cause it does get dirty really quicky. Ever felt how much power/response your car has when driving during the day, and during at night. You tend to have more power/response when driving at night due to the colder air. Well doing this mod will make you feel like your driving at night all the time :). Works well. A cheap way of getting colder air to the engine if you don't want to spend a lot of money for a CAI. Another good point is that it takes out the intake restriction that was on the stock piping. I wanted the piping to be as less as possible, so that the air doesn't have to travel far to the filter; so I had mine just out of the engine bay near the headlights. Still works OK. After driving home from work; open the bonnet, and the filter box feels cold. Just adding my 2cents. Cheers.

I was just browsing around for different tail lights. Those are the led ones, which I think you can do as a diy. Don't know where to buy them though. If you search for Led Tail Lights, you may come across something. Cheers.

Yes, I have a 2003 and that's all I did to change the key battery. I'll cost about $4-$5 from DickSmith. Cheers.

If you're in a hurry use a hairdryer between coats but at least let the primer dry over night. And one more thing, when applying the coats, make sure the surface isn't cold to touch. Again use the hairdryer if the room temp is cold. Always remember to wet sand before the final coat for best results. This was what I did anyway when I painted my eyelids. Cheers.

Yep, I've got one of them that came with the TRD Shortshifter. They weigh a lot less than the stock one, which doesn't help the shift when you have a shortshifter. So I took it off and put the stock one back on --> better shifting now. If you were in Melb, I'd let you try it for a week, so you could get a feel of the shifting before you buy it... But like they say, it's personal taste that counts more.

There's an air pocket in the heating/cooling system. You have to get rid of the air pocket. Not too sure about the process. So some one correct me if i'm wrong. But the way I understood it was wait till the engine temp is cold so you can open the radiator cap. Start the car with this opened and turn on the heater full and wait a while. Look at the opening of the radiator cap and see if there's any more bubbles coming up. Once again please correct me if i'm wrong. The service guy was taking a bit too fast and I was in a hurry when he was explaining it to me.

It came with a manual that we can read and pictures too... Sorry ladies, you didn't come with a manual (that we can read any ways). So we tend to understand our cars more..... Well lets just say that this conversation didn't down well with the wife :P

Yeap, I had this too. Turn the temp on hot and you can hear it. After a while you'll notice that your radiator fan is always on, and then your temp reading will sky-rocket, but your actual engine temp is cold (when you touch it). Rectify the problem quickly. Lucky of me it was the day I was bringing it to get servced. And yes they just "burped" the car. No harm done to the engine and cooling system.

We all met up with the seller and asked him to test drive the car. And guess what, the same thing happened - Couldn't get it into reverse and 4th gear pops out. We all then discussed what the best resolution will be. The seller still wants to sell the car (of-course) and my friend still wanted to buy the car. My friend knows the risk and is willing to take it. So at the end they both agreed that a further $400 off the price will be sufficent enough to finally settle the matter. Both signed another contract taking out the responsibility of the seller after the $400 was given. Apparently they don't test drive the car when you get it road-worthy in VIC that is. Is this ture??? Bought the car to the mechanics and yes the tranny is stuffed. Luckily they found a second hand one for about $700 with 6 months warranty. So all good. Live and learn I guess. Very hard buying a modded car.

Dam, I thought so. There was no written contract only a verbal one. As far as Vic Roads knows the car is still under the sellers name cause they haven't handed in the transfer papers. We'll see tomorrow when they talk to the seller to see where they go from there. They could still cancel the cheque and rip-up the transfer papers and just throw the keys back to the seller and leave..... But...... we'll see tomorrow....
