  1. Can't make it that night as I've got a friend's dinner to attend sorry!
  2. I should add, The sale includes valve stems but NO TYRES and NO CENTRE CAPS. For reference, the tyres that are on in these photos are 205/45/R16 Thanks :)
  3. Hey guys, SOLD. More items to come soon. I have no idea why the photos are upside down....
  4. They're generally 3" rubber necks, if you have a 3" diameter CAI it'll fit.
  5. This. Having said that i run the 3A and for the price, go for your life :)
  6. You can generally get the fascia 'ears' from any audio installation store like Alberts - shouldn't really cost more than $10-$15. Or try http://www.elite-electronics.com.au/
  7. Sorry man forgot! As you can see it exposes the 'shaft'. But it feels so much better imo.
  8. If you average it out 180 000 over 9 years (03) is actually what they term 'average' KMs for a car - 20 000km/year. Some people will argue that 'highway KMs' are better on the car than start-stop city driving. I haven't formed an opinion over that and I'm not gonna start an argument here haha. Placed in your shoes, i'd be looking at the 03 model purely cos its newer in terms of KMs. Looks unmolested/unmodified which I like as a base car, that way you know exactly what you're doing with your mods. But I get where you're coming from in terms of the 'looks' of the facelift. I may be biased against old cars because prior to my sportivo i drove a 92 S13 which was nothing but trouble for me haha. I'm hoping someone else can chime in to the 'reliability' of these 2ZZ engines.
  9. I would personally buy the newest, lowest KM car you can afford with the best service history. I can't speak for the reliability of the engine because mine has only done 130 xxx km but I hear that the 2ZZ is a rather expensive engine to source (engine alone). Got links to the two cars you posted? Im curious as to why the 03 model has significantly less KMs on it, even though its older. What mods would you be looking at?
  10. The TWM one coupled with a TWM short shifter did not expose the shaft, I have recently swapped to a TRD quick shifter instead with the duracon one and that does. I didn't like the feel of the TWM one after awhile. I'll get you a photo of the Duracon one this weekend.
  11. I'm using the TRD Duracon one too. Had a Blox Type R replica one and a TWM one in the past. Both metal and got way too hot in summer for my liking.
  12. This belongs to one of the guys on here, I stole it from the wide wheels thread. Not sure if its the BBS you're looking for but maybe PM him? From memory he told me it was 16x8 +20 or there abouts.
  13. Keen to see this once you're done, I considered for awhile but the major guard work to get +0 under put me off lol. Also bear in mind that unless you get camber bolts or something for the rear, its hard to dial in negative camber.
  14. KU31s atm, decent but going to try Dunlop Direzza Star Spec Z1s next.
  15. Just to add, yeh can use a hairdryer or heatgun set to LOW. Makes it come off easier. Or just leave the car parked in the hot sun for 2 hours or so.
  16. Are those XXRs by any chance? I don't believe brake caliper clearance is an issue, but guard clearance will definitely be!
  17. Hey man did you end up installing these? I had the same problem, you just need a big hammer to knock that extra stud out of the BC upper mounting plate. It all lines up after that :) Alfred
  18. hi all, I suspect I *may* have done an engine mount at a recent track event I attended. There is a knocking coming from the front left side of the car whenever i brake or turn left. What I'm wondering is, what are my options in terms of aftermarket replacements? I've heard there are solid mounts but they can increase NVH quite badly. Keen to hear what people are using. Thanks Alf
  19. Using QFM A1RMs here, very good value for money in my opinion.
  20. Springs or Spring/strut combined? I have my stocks lying around cos I installed coilovers.
  21. I believe its for legalities, but you'd have to be pretty unlucky to cop a yellow for that i'd think. Also useful when you hand your keys to the guys at the tyre aligning place and they can't find reverse :P
  22. ^ that. I found the CES exhaust quite droney as well, so I had it modified with another end muffler.
