  1. Hey how much are you selling the springs for and where are you located? You can pm me
  2. Does anyone know where to mount jack stands on an aurion? The stands have this sort of shape at the top where the car is supposed to rest. \___/ .and I get the feeling that if I put the stands on the normal mounting points, it will snap or bend something because of the shape
  3. 'Hold gear' means to not change gear. It holds or stays in the selected gear but the aurion does not even though it seems that way on the screen that tells you what gear you are in. For example, if a car that does hold gears is put in 4th, even if you plant your foot, it won't downshift or upshift till you make the input whereas in the aurion if you select 4th it will downshift if you plant your foot. In the latter case it means the aurion uses gears 1-4
  4. Never had this problem initially but recently started becoming really bad especially certain songs. The rattle was properly irritating. Since i'm an engineer, naturally i couldn't stop till i found a solution and i found one for me. No guarantee of it working for others but for me, it got rid of the rattle 100%. How i stopped the rattle? Asked my younger sister for a reasonably sized (about 20-30cm) stuffed toy she didn't really want and wedged it in between the back glass and parcel shelf. Now all i hear is pure bass and 0 rattle. Music bliss
  5. I just noticed today that my letterings "P-R-N-D-S" don't light up like the photo above, could it be that same bulb in replaced in the video is the problem?

  12. Personally, you would be much better off wiring the coils in series and finding an amplifier that can do 500W into 4-ohms. If you try to separate the voice coils onto different channels, you are just wasting away with inefficiency. A good suggestion was what i was waiting for. Ill be doing that to get the most out of it. Thanks for help. Really appreciate it!
  13. I have, just never knew what those cables were, but i guess i do now Thanks DJ.
  14. I tried using the search function new and old to find where someone had said something about aurions not having sparkplug leads, can someone kindly point me in the right direction? Had no luck with the search
  15. Oh sorry about that, glad you brought it up though because now i'm a little confused. On my reciept it says Dual 4-ohm subwoofer so i assumed it meant 4 ohms on each coil and on the website it says I take the site specs as more reliable. Now i know for sure (i know i should have made sure before) that it is 2 ohms on each coil (few other sources say the same). This now means that i am looking for an amp with a lower rating. I think i should just leave it wired separately, not in series or parallel. This would mean that i want an amp that is rated at 500w rms @ 2ohms right? If this is the case, then thats good, ill save some money.
  16. According to an American (non Australian) website, this is what the interior of their camry looks like. Paddle F*cking Shifters! And the build looks better, but we would only know the real deal when it's released here. According to their car reviews, the higher models come with paddle shifts. Here's another.. Interior really looks solid. I would like to see them employ a dual clutch gearbox, that would be good especially for the 6cyl version, would save some fuel, and it would be more fun to drive in sequential mode as the shifts would be instant. Somehow i don't think that is going to happen. But so far looking good!
  17. Awesome, thanks for the replies. I can just hook the sub up directly to it because it is DVC 4ohms, and the amp is also 500wrms at 4ohms, so it should be ok!
  18. If I was to hypothetically buy a high power amp with the following specs: 500W RMS x 1 @ 4 Ohms900W RMS x 1 @ 2 Ohms900W RMS x 1 @ 1 OhmCould i safely run my 500wrms sub at 4ohms instead of finding a cheaper amp and dropping the impedance down to 2 ohms? Can you see anything wrong with this? is it overkill? will it damage any components (electrically)? apart from my boot? lol
  19. Getting a little confused with sound systems in a car so hopefully someone can help me out. 1. With impedances, am i correct in saying that the higher the impedance, the clearer the sound, but the lower the impedance it, the more power going to the sub therefore louder but less clear? if not correct me please. 2. I currently have a sub rated at 1000wmax and 500wrms. The amp powering it is rated at 400wrms(mono). Is this bad for the sub? 3. I am considering changing the amp to one that is 500wrms monoblock, during my search for such an amp, i continually keep seeing these kinds of figures... Rated Power continuous power 250W x 1 @ 4-Ohms RMS 400W x 1 @ 2-Ohms RMS 500W x 1 @ 1-Ohm RMS Total Power 500 Watts Which figures should i be looking at when selecting an amp? Taking into account that it is a DUAL 4-OHM VOICE COIL sub. How could i wire it up to lower the impedance from 4ohms to 2ohms? (if that makes any sense/is it possible?) Cheers B)

  21. The airconditioner has nothing to do with the heater. If the aircon needed to be regassed, it would not be cooling. KSpec is having the opposite where it is not heating... but only on the drivers side. Because of this, I suspect the issue to the the servo motor or the vane that is part of the heater core that controls how much air passes through it. Out of curiosity, with the car off hold down the 'AUTO' and the 'Recirculate/Fresh Air' buttons and turn the ignition to the ON position (press the Engine Start button twice with your foot off the brake). When all the lights and display start to flash, release the buttons and wait until the lights stop flashing. Afterwards, any error codes should then be displayed in the form of a number on the driver's side temperature display. Let me know what numbers you get. If you get 21 and/or 24, don't panic. That's just the light sensor at the front not reading a bright value. If you get 41/43/46... then it's definitely the air mix servo. If it still only displays 0 or 21 and/or 24, press the 'Recirculate/Fresh Air' button, let it cycle through it's check (it will count up from 0 to 9) and when it gets back to 0 again, press the 'AUTO' button to see if the numbers have changed. Thanks! Maybe i should just not say stuff lol, but i learn.
  22. I would think your aircon needs to be re-gassed?
  23. To anyone that ordered their UR RSB from eBay (Malaysia), how long till it gets to my door , roughly, because ebay never said.. Edit: also been reading about the squeaks that people are experiencing so i may as well take the precautionary measures before hand, was just wondering where exactly i apply the Teflon tape
