UOW Unicentre carpark. Saw a Black facelift Stivo drive in - SP-##-VO - at ~10 - 10:15 Thursday 27/7/06
I think I saw the same car that night fly through the round-a-bout by the hospital in my rearvision mirror at around 4:30 that afternoon too.
yeah that was me in the carpark
though wasnt me in arvo, i was sleeping in a lecture theater lol

you couldnt say it was a failure.
i think you said it cost 5k drive away
in anyones terms thats nothing for what was done, so you cant expect it to be perfect
i honestly didnt think it could be done for less than like 10k
from what it sounds like its not really the place's fault where you got it done
its that more money was needed to be invested into the project.

> Wheels can be changed as long as the rim size is no greater than 1" larger than standard (ie, I can go 17")
its the width thats important
so with the sportivos they came out with 6inch wide
so legally we can only have a wheel fitted thats no larger than 7inch's wide (unless you get a engineers certificate)

The external temperature readout, it's the best feature in the car :)
yeah, not too bad for a piggyback on the intake temp sensor.
hehe so effectively its just reading the intake temps?
sweet!!
on a side note, i always wondered where the sensor was.
-
Yeah the stock stivo gear knob will fit on to the TRD SS, no worries
:)
Sweeet! :D Do you know if the height will be the same or shorter?
have a look at mine tonight mate as im running the TRD shirt shifter with the stock gear knob
any chance of you posting up a pic of it Northy?
-
whats not to love about the sportivo :P :D
-
the price of that car is rediculous
it will definately have trouble with traction.
-
How about a decent cup holder. Rather than those shallow holes in the console. These do not hold Maccas cups well at all and those are the only thing I put in there on the trip home from the drive thru
heheh id aggree with that

very nice!!!!
should be a great car to drive :D :D :D

We have a 99 Echo 2-Door at home and whenyou open the front doors, they appear to ope really bloody far...almost perpendicular to the body of the car...
Is this normal....
i think its normal from memory.
worse thing about it, is the fact that it has really big doors so they stick out really far.
-
going a bit off topic here........
does anyone have a sound/video file of a 2zzge with headers and exhaust?
just curious as to what they would sound like...
-
how did he manage to not get a scratch on your wheel, but still rip up that panel?
i agree
but how lucky(if you could call it luck) are you that he just missed the headlight.
oh and the bonet was close aswell.
but yeah dont always assume the cheapest is best
get it done right and it should be good.
ive seen many cars come out of dodgy workshops with panels not lining up properly and paint
not matching up. paying the few extra dollars now will save ya the hassle in the end.
-
I reckon I've seen your car all the time driving near the round about at the Eastern End of Nothfields Ave when I've been on my way home on my bike
yeah thats probably me.
hope you werent one of the ppl i tried to run over :P
ppl see the car coming but for some reason keep walking.....and i keep driving :D
-
ive got a black one and im usually around Uow
could this be the first spot? lol :o :D
Didn't get a close look at the car or driver, pretty sure it had a red Sportivo badge though...
mines got the red badge.
the car pretty is much stock.
only visable mod's would be the tint and arial removal.
-
About 8am this morning on the old Princes Highway just outside Dapto
Silver pre-facelift 'stivo giving it some to get past me ;)
I've also seen quite a few Sportivos around UOW lately - silver, red & black. Anyone on here?
ive got a black one and im usually around Uow
could this be the first spot? lol :o :D

What a honest man! You are lucky. ;) Hate those "hit and run" ppl...
i have to agree, too many ppl these days just get out of there and leave you to flip the bill.
so yeah, you're very lucky!!
-
yeah not the best pics, but keep them coming.
would have been good to have all that stuff removed off the engine before taking the photo.
p.s. that workshop has some major OH&S issues.
-
the kids are too smart these days
mainly due to their parents telling them they have rights and what they are (basically telling them they can get away with anything)
i still think a good belting would fix those kids up quick smart.
worked with ned flanders hehe
but seriously i hope all works out for you and you get everything fixed asap
and lucky it was just your tyre and wheel allignment damadged
it sounds like it could have been a lot worse!!!
-
yeah he was from albion park tory.
well its good to know that i can get my exhaust done and not have to worry about warranty :D :D
-
ive been told by a guy in wollongong that a catback exhaust will void warranty of the engine
is that right? or is he a nut?
-
I dont think its a great idea to spray stuff into the air con.
you are really only covering and masking the stink smell with a nice smell.
not really eliminating the germs...unless u were spraying like ajax or something
spraying ajax?
