  1. It will depend on how much work and money you are willing and wanting to invest into it. I think an AWD would be a mint idea, also there is the third gen celica's that are RWD which no one would expect to have a decent power engine in it.
  2. For Sales: Haltech Platinum Sport 1000 Autospec with flying lead kit long. Condition: New Price: $1700 Location: QLD 4207 area Hey yall, I have a brand new PS1000 ECU and long loom (with fuse box) for sale. I have currently moved to London so my car build has been put on hold until I return, and as I need the money more, this part is consequently up for sale. It has never been used not even the loom has been unraveled or the stickers been used. I will also be advertising elsewhere, so if you're interested PM me ASAP.
  3. I think having the 86 come out in a GT4 badge instead to keep the "celica spirit" where the car comes out in a 2L turbocharged AWD would make it near impossible for me to refrain from buying one :P
  4. Hey everyone, I'm needing to upgrade my clutch very soon and need some help as to which clutch I need. I am looking at a Clutch kit which includes the flywheel but i have a 3SGTE out of a caldina ST215 and I am using the ST185 gear box. Do I get the clutch to suit the engine or the gearbox? thanks for the help

  7. Hey everyone, Just thought I let you know that TWM are running a competition on Facebook where you can win a TWM Performance Kit for your car for Australia/New Zealand. To enter all you have to do is email one photo (Under 1MB) of your car to sales@twmperformance.com with the subject as Australia/New Zealand Facebook Sponsorship Project Extravaganza with your name and what TWM Performance Kit you want. This is only for Australia and New Zealand Cars and the one with the most "likes" wins. If you want to have a look at their products their site is as follows. https://www.facebook.com/shortshifters http://www.twmperformance.com http://www.twmshiftknobs.com/ These guys have an extensive range of short shifters and shift knobs and the quality is awesome (I do have a Short shifter myself) so have a look and you could score yourself some sweet gear for your ride Good Luck :)
  8. Hey everyone, I have for sale a rear swaybar from whiteline for an MR2 ,part number BTR28Z. This was incorrectly purchased for my ST185 (part number for st185 is BTR29Z) so I went to fit it a couple of weeks after a year of it sitting in my room and discovered it was the wrong part for me. Completely unused with everything (even the grease pack) still there. asking $200 these go for about $250 from whiteline. PM me if interested Also not sure what the go is between the description on the site and what it really is but this is a 3 point adjustable not a 2 point as the whiteline site describes here are some photos;

  12. Hi, So I have fond out that I dont have gears 2, 4 or reverse and have found the problem... The cables :( Are the 184 cables able to go in if so what will the ramifications be? thnx
  13. The thing they get you on if you do have a BOV is "noise pollution" same as pod filters, exhausts and sound systems. And I think the term they are called in toyota parts is Bypass recirculation valve, which when the pressure is taken off the accelerator the air is recirculated back to infront of the turbo... from what i understand from the diagrams, and a BOV does the same thing but with the capability of venting to atmosphere... thats why i like the GFB's BOVs
  14. technically the ST215 came with one altho its not called a BOV still does the same thing just not vented to atmosphere. I want to get the Deceptor from GFB turn it up or down
  15. Haha yer they wont know what hit beat them a few more lil bits and pieces to go.. Then I will start building an inventory of items to replace (turbo, rods, pistons etc)
  16. Just uploaded a video to youtube of my car so far :)
  17. I'm possibly guilty of 21... I have the HKS Hi Power Silent Exhaust and a full 3" mandrel bent from turbo to match...
  18. yes please would be greatly appreciated. and I thought i was going to have to block some of them off i just wasn't 100% sure what
  19. Hi All, Wondering if I could get some help. So im coming up to the final stages of installing the ST215 3SGTE into my Australian delivered ST185 and have a few little issues about not knowing where some hose ends go to... Help please With this first photo I understand it goes to Charcoal canister? Do i connect this straight to it? This photo are pipes located just underneath the throttle body And this final photo just not sure where the hoses would go to Thanks everyone
  20. Love to join in ... I just hope my car is going by then
  21. no oil and water lines are connected and filled ... I think at least my mechanic said it was... going to check now
  22. yer that whistling noise is the turbo... its not all hooked up properly... vacuum lines, intercooler, filter and other trinkets working on them now
  23. Just thought i would share the link of my ST185 so far have got the ST215 3SGTE in and running .... just in the process of hooking everything up. In the video i have a full 3" exhaust from the turbo with a high flow 100 cell cat and the HKS Cat Back System. More videos and pictures to come as i make progress. Not long now till its back on the road :)
