  1. Ok, let me understand, and I'm not trying to make fun. You hit a barrier at around 100km/hr after applying the brakes, correct? Did you feel the ABS pulsating the brake pedal and did the EBA apply maximum braking pressure? Newtons third law (again not making fun) states for every action, there is an equal an opposite action. This is evident in the picture you supplied. I speculate the damage was minor compared to the forces involved. You are lucky Toyota's safety standards have presented your hands here today to type this message. I put it to you sir, with respect, were you taking due care to the conditions? No warranty would cover that damage. All Australian contact details can be obtained from the Toyota Australia website.
  2. I couldn't quite work out how to put the head unit into pairing mode. Doesn't really matter now as I've handed the car back. It was a strange experience driving the car as the engine keeps switching on and off all the time. Next time, try pressing and holding one of the main buttons on the stereo, mine is the left one, settings will pop up then it's menu driven to bluetooth setup, easy as. Make sure bluetooth is set on on your mobile. ;)
  3. I ended up going to another dealer, since my local weren't helpful, and I just wanted to confirm it. It does look a little silly with the holes where the flaps should be. The other dealer has ordered me in the rear set, according to him, for the 2010 conquest hatch. Thanks for the help and will let you know the outcome.
  4. Well I'm not sure now after their multiple responses, but there are definitely screw holes where the rear mudflaps should go. You say they are not made though, dammit.
  5. I recently went to the dealership to get mudflaps for my new Rolla. After much waiting when I returned, I was then told the parts weren't in, then they were, then they wouldn't fit, then they don't make them. They were able to retro fit front ones, but not rear, saying they simply don't make them. Any ideas on if this is true or a part number would be great. Thank for your help.
  6. Near Coffs Harbour. So here is the pics I promised. Don't know what's up with the album, but this way I know.
  7. Paper won't scratch hardened glass like a windscreen, nor will it scratch a 20c drinking glass. 50/50 metho/water and newspaper+elbow grease, and streak free clean for all mirrors. No reason an old tried method is going to stop working. Also works well in the house on polished floors.(1/50 metho/water) ;)
  8. I spend a lot of time on the highways so here goes. -People who wait until the last few moments to overtake, forcing you to brake or accelerate (whichever is safer) in an overtaking lane. -Tailgaters (bottom bunnies) The closer you get, the slower I go. I'd rather you smash into me at 60km than 100km. Which is related to... -People who cannot maintain speed (jerky foots). Who either cannot maintain a certain speed by overuse of the accelerator, or bottom bunny so close that maintaining speed becomes impossible.(jerky bottom bunnies) -Line crossers (lazy susans) who cross into the path of oncoming traffic rather than following the lane around corners. We learnt to draw in the lines in kindergarten, come on people. These people tend to be jerky foots as well since they constantly have to correct their suicidal course and loose speed doing so.
  9. Afternoon everyone. Nice forum you have here. I'm looking forward to participating and sharing some pictures etc. Mostly looking forward to the delivery date of my new Conquest next month. Although my 01 Ascent has served me well, it's time to move up. Does anyone have any interior pictures of the 10 Conquest? I'm yet to see any on the web. Take care all.
