  1. Yea there's a few on youtube. Will add some more soon once I fit my watercooled supercharger.
  2. I think I might just add something here, if you do choose to use compressed air, please use that canned stuff at the most. Just saying cause I can imagine someone getting an air gun attached to an air compressor and use that. Even still, I'd be less inclined to use canned compressed air, but each to their own. Contact cleaner would typically suffice. Just remember, there is not much to the sensor. Damage that and you won't exactly be happy. I have experience with this particular sensor, it is common to many Toyota's, Subaru's and other brands. I have seen recently how much abuse this kind of sensor can take while still functioning correctly. This of course is no reason to treat the thing incorrectly Use the spray on contact cleaner, some compressed air to remove all the gunk totally and if you feel inclined polish the little black bead with window cleaning paper damped with contact cleaner (soft stuff). Yes, if its really really dirty this is the amount of effort you need to put in to get it back to new
  3. Check the tyre pressure - very important Make sure engine oil viscosity is as advised in owners handbook Run 95 octane fuel Clean the air flow meter sensor with some electronics cleaner and compressed air, they get very dirty and will lead to higher than desired fuel consumption. Normally just 2 screws holding it in A clean air filter Sparkplugs - I see you have checked them Only other thing can be a collapsed/failed catalytic converter or muffler - can be very detrimental to fuel economy. A dyno test would find a power loss in this instance which in turn you would have a good close look at the exhaust system. If dyno result is within 8hp of normal then its back to cleaning sensor. The O2 sensor will bring up codes if it fails so dont get too worried about that at this stage See how that goes for you
  4. Yep. Better off paying for some angled steel instead I had other plans, not really NA tuning as such, wanting to control fuel and IGN for a low boost setup <6psi
  5. This is my GGN15R Hilux 4.0 I like it a lot and after other brands of utes I am loving the tight build feeling of the Hilux. The brakes are total crap but otherwise I cant fault it too much at all Boost is around 5.7psi and power around 220rwkw Exhaust is a monster rides system - 2.5" Otherwise stock as
  6. Tradewind

    New FT-86

The WRX engine will go straight in, engine mounts are identical - so is trans bolt pattern
  7. Any further progess on this one? Interested also
  8. The Ranger is a good machine, I have put a lot of Kms on them, fuel economy is good and they are great to drive. Don't mention the power, no need to, abundant supply from the 3.0 diesel. In terms I diesels I would probably take the Ranger over a Lux, but when you want a Petrol option the V6 Lux is killer :)
  9. Yeah I do, trying to recall where you pop up, was it Aussie Mag?
  10. Yeah well another Hilux owner here, got the '06 Extra cab V6 Auto 2WD ute, goes like stink for a stock ute. Colour is White and has covered 130 000kms What I know so far Fuel Economy highway: 10km per liter, very suprised at this but seems repeatable anytime I try it Around town economy: 7 - 8km per liter Power: dyno'd at 173Hp at the wheels - very good 0-100 times: Impossible to get any real figure, if you boot it from a standing start it will spin the first 2 gears before hooking up everytime, very quick, will whip a stock BF turbo Falcon up to 80kmh, definitely going to add more Hp right away tho. Comfortable enough for a Hilux, drives very well, very scary braking in the wet on the stock rubber - DANGEROUS/no ABS on this model. Well built and problem free so far as problems go, motor is just as "ticky" as most 1GRFEs are, not the quietest at idle but near silent in the cabin at almost any speed. Mods to come: Maybe wheels and tyres upgrade to something pretty cool Engine mods, lots of these, this motor is ripe for sweet upgrades that work within the limits of the open deck engine block (not super strong) Maybe some graphics too.
  11. Ah yep, driving the 2006 Hilux Extra Cab 2 wheel drive well type ute with V6 and 5sp auto. A good unit to I might add! Going to be modding the engine a fair bit so follow along and intersted in others opinions as well
