  1. Previously before the black, he had orange on it.
  2. Yep.. hes from around the Shire.. Shane has said he's planning on coming.. would definitely turn heads to have both the Flex and Shanes monster at the same place at the same time! Can you please make it known if you plan on coming by replying here :)
  3. Do you know Shane Anderson by any chance? Very similar camo themed cube.. he has seen you around i think
  4. If you are on FB.. make your way over to the Nissan Cube Owners Club Sydney Group and say gday!
  5. I for one will likely be bringing my wife and kids.. as I usually do at the Cube meets.. and always have really thinking back to the TOCAU meets @ Villawood a few years ago.
  6. It's **OFFICAL** the next Nissan Cube Owners Sydney will be at Penrith Aqua Golf!! When: Saturday 29th of March around 8pm Where: Aqua Golf at Panthers, Mulgoa Road, Penrith NSW 2750 everyone is invited (including Rukus, bB and any other box cars except for Kia Souls... they dont even like themselves) This will be a good one to bring your girl friend, boy friend, wife, husband, lover, or mistress along with you details and costs can be found on their website: http://www.aquagolf.com.au leave your name here so we know whos coming! I was given the all clear to invite yall by the admin. Its generally a good group of guys... this meet would potentially turn some heads at panthers for sure!
  7. Just curious if any Rukus owners are keen on a meet up with some Nissan Cubes in Sydney?
  8. I was hoping to have all 3 working before my holidays end but the radiator sensor adaptor is still in the mail, which sucks because the temp gauge is the one I needed most out of all three gauges. The cube only has a blue light and a red light to indicate the temp of the engine so the temp gauge is important. It has been very interesting to see what drains the battery when I use things like the lights, auto windows etc.
  9. 2 of the gauges installed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Mcw0HL-SLM
  10. Had to connect the fuel/air gauge to the O2 sensor.. was a case of guessing which 1 of the 4 wires coming out of the sensor should I tap into? Turns out it was the black wire... 1st wire I tried.
  11. stock photo of how the radiator sensor will be installed. currently waiting for the blue radiator sensor adaptor from ebay through the mail.. ordered it 31st Dec 2013.
  12. A-ha moment as I realised my guages needed one of these to keep in place.. 1DIN radio bracket/holder. Realised the bracket was mm's too wide.. needed to cut the bracket in half and rejoin it, cable ties keeping it in place. Tabs on the sides of the bracket brilliantly keep the guages from falling back Switch installed and (+) wires connected 1 of 3 connected! dont know what happened with this pic... but the sensor wires for the fuel/air gauge and the water temp guage.. all the other wiring is in place which means I shouldnt have to remove the dash for any reason. the guages are grounded and powered. these 2 wires are all that needs to be connected to complete the install. Poked these wires through the firewall with an old metal coat hanger.
  13. first of 3 guages connected.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWX4vHChWbM
  14. switch perfectly positioned next to where the gauges will be! electrical tape helps keep wires together
  15. masked off and marked out.. no actual measurement, line of sight mostly. drilled the holes, then joined the dots after some fine tuning with a stanley knife and woohoo!
  16. Nothing keeping it in place from behind.. kill switch and 7.5 meters of wire gauges vs shelf.. I used cable ties to keep guages in place in the back 2 will be come one.. 3 positive wires joined to one.. then crimped and will connect to the kill switch
  17. Before: Trial fit.. As it is in this pic, if I left it, it would be sitting loose and will likely shift around while driving.
  18. Lights off.. Lights on.. (sorry for the camera shake) Positive and Negative/ground cables connected to elcheapo (freebee) jump starter! Will need a kill switch and some adaptors to fit the temperature sensor in the radiator and I will need to splice into a sensor wire or two. Thats all for now.. wont install until i have all the parts together.
  19. Gauges and panel together... The panel is made of really thin and flexible acrylic.. cannot support the weight of the gauges! They flexed under the pressure from the brackets! 1/10 for rigidity.. I only gave it a 1 because it didnt break. Loosely attached from behind to the panel. Instructions found in each packet..
  20. UPDATE! I GOT MAIL!!!!! Ebay gauges from China, DIN panel from the UK.. Unboxing..
  21. Its been a long time since I was active in these forums and to be honest, I'd remember most of you by nickname only by now. I only recall meeting Pete maybe a couple of times when the monthly meets were at Villawood Bunnings/ McDonalds and 1zz's and sportivos were considered the current model Corollas.,. I personally remember him most as "Big Pete" or Peter Griffin.. at one point he'd use the family guy as his avatar.. I do recall he was a big fellow who was really friendly and provided free pizza for all the members.. Most of my interaction with him was in the forums so I thought it was best to wish his family and the rest of the TOCAU community my condolences. I know he meant a lot to a lot of us here. Thanks for everything Big Pete!
  22. Sorry double post- plus getting used to this galaxy note 3 I didn't realize I wasn't on the last page of this thread.. still at work though? You Still getting by?
  23. Daaaaammmmnnnnn!!! Dude that's harsh. But that being said, caught doing more than double the legal speed limit?? Any progress on getting the car back?!
  24. Testing the panel. Quite flimsy but keeps in place with the shelf still behind it. May have to modify it (hack it to peices) to keep the panel in place and make room for what will eventually fill those holes.
