  1. Hi I have a feeling that this has been gone over before but I cant find the answer I am Looking for, My well cared for 2002 Camry Advantage has got a little oil leak, looking under the car from the slightly jacked up front, I can see a transverse exhaust bracket on a braided section of pipe and it is slightly wet with oil, I get one drip per day on my floor but the bracket looks wet, I am guessing that the position where this oil is coming out is an indication of where it is leaking from?? I will be going into a Mobility scooter in a couple of years so if this is not a danger or going to blow my motor up I would just as soon leave it til its time to part, There is no significant loss of oil between changes. any advice is appreciated ( I love spell check)
  2. Thanks everyone who replied to this topic it was a bit of a spin out for me,I am new to poverty,I got a panel from Littles wrecking in Gympie an hour and a halfs run from here, it came off a similar car same year same colour,I got one of those Gregory manuals and it took just 2 hours from jacking it up to lowering it to restore my old car to its former condition,I am so happy with the whole thing I think I will start doing my own oil changes and minor servicing,as I said I love the old beast.I would not have attemted it if it was not for these pages. The guy who hit me gave $200-00 which pretty much covered the cost the repair shop wanted $697 the panel from littles was $120,Thanks again
  3. you are all right I will claim from this guys insurance,if that dos'ent work I will go to the wreckers and fix it myself,Thanks for the Advice
  4. Some maniac backed into my 2002 Advantage on Boxing Day in the car park of the Mitre 10 in Hervey Bay,I know dam well his insurance is never going to pay,and I have reached that advanced stage of poverty that my only recourse is to repair it myself.I know its ten years old and I should just scrap it but its the best car I have ever had and that includes some classic Rovers and Triumphs.but what to do shall I attempt the bog and can of spray from super cheap of should I try and replace the whole panel,it was a ute with an alloy tray that got me and dented the passenger side guard right in front of the mirror at the top of the panel.how hard is it to remove the panel?can someone do it themselves or are special tools needed? any advice would be very welcome.
  5. thanks for the info I will check the CVs
  6. Hi I have just got myself a 2002 camry advantage from a used car dealer in Hervey Bay,(I could not afford the Rover I wanted) anyway I havent had a car for nearly twenty years, only a work ute, so I am finding this car very comfy and I am totally blown out by the extra bits and bobs on it.it has however got a tow ball on it and I wonder what the previous one owner towed around, there is a small gearbox cooler fitted to the front of the radiator, can anyone tell me if this is standard, also is there any way of finding out how many of this (limited addition) were made.cheers
