  1. The 3S-GE wouldn't be built to handle boost like the 3S-GTE is. I'm not a 3S-GTE guru but I'd assume it would have stronger pistons and a lower compression ratio, different head, CAMS, ECU etc. i.e. Unless you rebuilt the 3S-GE it wouldn't handle much boost.
  2. They are actually H7's, I changed mine on the weekend, prick of a job I think next time I'll take off the bumper and the unbolt the light so I dont have to frig around with that spring clip for ages trying to get it back in its hole.
  3. Wow nice find there Funke! The piece of plastic that has VVTL-i on it wouldn't fit with the Blitz kit installed, the Intake manifold is different. i.e. Blitz Stock
  4. AEM is best for stock ECU, Injen if you plan on changing ECU to an Apexi PowerFC. BTW, your engine model will be 2ZZ-GE. www.newcelica.org is a great resouce of knowledge for modded 7th Gen Celicas. Also our celica sx/zr is equivalent to thier celica GTS.
  5. The 2ZZ-GE uses a timing chain. I think the Major Service for the 7th Gen was 80 000ks so I guess another at 160 000 ks. Lift Bolt TSB - http://teamcelica.com/tech/installs/liftbolts/liftbolts.pdf Other Info - http://www.pressroom.com.au/pressroom/samp...99celicakit.htm
  6. Things to be mindful of... Clutch / Noisy Thrust Bearing (Noisy when backing off in 3rd or 4th gears). Broken Lift bolts (Not switching over to high cam properly at 6200rpms). Worn Syncros (Gearbox hard to get into reverse or hard to shift from 1st to 2nd quickly at high rpm - i.e. land lift, keeping it above 6200rpm). Can all be fixed and may not really be a critical problem but its money you wouldn't want to have to spend straight up. But really they are a great car and are pretty well built, I bought mine with 90K on it and it now has 130K and I've been to the track with it 4 or 5 times and no real problems at all, it loves it. Good luck with your search :D
  7. The Stock ST205 rims are 16x7.5" 5/100 ET+45. Cuts has 18x8.5" on his ST205 but not sure of offset or what it took to make them fit if anything. 7th Gens are 16x6.5" 5/100 ET+38. (can fit 20x8"s on 7th Gen). Subaru WRXs are also 5/100 but offset is +45 to +55, so it's generally easier to find wheels in their offsets.
  8. Have you tried looking what others have put into thiers on www.Toymods.net? Or try www.Ozcelica.com. Toyota 1gg , 1jz, 2jz Maybe? (Small TwinCam EFI 6 cylinders would be good if you want power a bit lower than the peaky BEAMS or 4A 20v)
  9. I'd love to go but its a bit late and a lack of funds prevent me.. so I'll mark it down on the Calendar for next year :D . Here's the Website if anyone was interested http://www.bimf.com.au/
  10. Anduin had to show his levitating powers while he waited for everyone else to jump lol.
  11. Hehe I think the Cold Air Intake is almost louder than the exhaust :P
  12. Wow what a big weekend, I just got home at like 8.20pm, about 1200ks later . I had lots of fun and it was good to meet yas. It became a bit of a challenge to try and overtake those pesky slow cars , I started to enjoy screaming past the stupid 4WD's.
  13. Well I'm going no matter what :D I'm leaving Wodonga now, and will stay in Melbs tonight. I hope to still see a decent bunch of cars there tomorrow
