i think we should have more votes for people on the other side of australia. Sydney doesn't need another mod we have 3 here already. Qld also has 3......i wanna see other states get more involved. It will help with the annual meets too to get more people to come in and join.
  7. We use a speedo (yes the swimmers brand) cloth to wipe the car down after we wash it. its the same size a regular chamois even feels the same and leaves the whole car streak free body and glass. It's also extremely durable we have used the same speedo for the last few years it never goes stinky and never rips. Best product ever. Its super dooper absorbent too swimmers also use it for themselves LOL but it's awesome!! thats why !
  8. it's standard now we have power windows in the whole car. mirrors even fold in when u want theres a button on the right of the steering wheel. even though our was bought in november the code on rego is MY11 Just sook till you get what you want
  9. we got the current shaped one with the blinkers on the side mirrors. bought ours from castle hill toyota as they sponsor TOCAU. you can have what ever you want if they have stock if they don't make them find you one with everything you want. YOU are the customer. and don't forget to tell them the price that YOU want to pay not telll you what they want!! hehehe I was fussy with what colour i wanted and i wanted manual so made them find me one!! hehehe If they want the sale they will find you one
  10. we bought one in november with the deal it was a good deal. over the 4 year loan the interest is only $1200 so $300 a year interest. got to choose what ever colour we wanted and all the extras we wanted to add to it too. go and haggle its the best thing to get what u want!! got our down to $26 but got the mags thrown in and wheels and many other stuff. p.s. havent had time to post up a members ride thread but will do a cruise shortly so we can take the new car for a drive.
  11. there hasn't been a king since march!! let's get this thread a wriggling !!
  12. Now that everything is in the right place my turn to vent....... Driving back home on the weekend from Jervis Bay back to Sydney on Picton Road.............. Time is 8pm..........it's pouring rain so hard my wipers are on full blast...........i have 6 kids in the car with me in the prado so I'm driving as safely as i can as there was a lot of rain and roadwork. Speed limit is 90km/h I'm sitting on 85 car behind me driving real close so close i couldn't see their headlights......it's still pouring real hard. It's a double line so he can't over take me. Keeps driving up real close to me to put some pressure on me to speed up. Still pi55ing down real hard and it's only one lane he can't over take me. He keeps swerving left to right to make sure i can see he's annoyed still driving real close i still can't see his lights he's way too close... after about 10kms of his swerving real close behind me i'm really annoyed now i aint gonna drive no faster as i have 6 kids in the car and 2 adults.....thats 8 lives in my hands on a horrible day. I had enough......i slow down to 80 knowing very well he can't overtake me cause its a double line and one lane ..... he's getting more and more annoyed......at this stage my anger has past cause i can see how angry he was.....i am now laughing my head off....... we travel another 10kms down the same road he's still up so close....... i have thoughts of braking hard so i get a new rear bar but i have a full car so don't wanna go through that crap. i see a sign that says over taking lane 2 kms ahead so i slow down to about 75 making him suffer for the last 2 kms hehehehe ...........then once the overtaking lane opens up i then hit the speed limit of 90 just to sh!t him..... the guy freaks out !!! finally at that point he backed off and kept a proper distance from me. I think he finally got the point. I think people who drive stupid especially in the rain don't deserve to hold a licence. Its dumb drivers that put everyone at risk fair enough they don't value their own lives but they should at least value their own!!! Just a thought as we are fast approaching the holiday season and double demerits will apply...... i would just want everyone in our club to be safe and have a happy holiday. I wouldn't wish anyone here to be a part of the christmas road toll which seems to rise more and more every year. Please just slow down and take it easy over the christmas and new year period. Leave 30 mins earlier if you must to avoid being in a rush. Take care all!!!!! and have a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
  13. merging topics so everyone will be happy :D
  14. Welcome to TOCAU!! Great to see more family cars in the forum. We have a prado and corolla....Mark gets the corolla as its great on fuel for trips to work and i get the prado cause i have the kids to taxi around too :D There are always meets happening around so please check out club meets and events regularly we tend not to do much around the christmas season due to many people's family commitments in the holidays and double demerits. Take care!! P.S. we have an annual national meet every year in june....next one will be in QLD june 2011 if your up for a road trip with the kids :D From: Michelle :D
  15. You can buy dog harnesses which can be clicked into anchor points or seat belts. Ask you local pet shop :D i bought a rubber boot liner from toyota for the prado it cost about $100 so i just let them run around in the back when the seats are up they have never jumped over into the middle row. it wipes clean real good too.
  16. from memory its every 25 posts

  18. Hi everyone!!!! Firstly i would like to give a HUGE shout out to our event sponsors!!! A HUGE THANK YOU TO CASTLE HILL TOYOTA, CASTROL AUSTRALIA AND MOTHERS CAR CARE PRODUCTS!!!! Without them our show and shine wouldn't have been such a success!! Another huge THANK YOU too all the people who came to any of the 3 day of events!!! I am pleased and proud to say that i am so impressed with our TOCAU community. Everyone was mature and the whole weekend was incident free. A few hiccups you know where but definitely incident free. :D Also a big thank you to everyone who woke up early on the day of the show and shine and helped set up!!! Especially the Castrol (G2S) crew who were there before our coffee truck arrived!!! :D And to the Castle hill Toyota crew who cleared the service lot for us :D A big thanks to BG PETE too for all the print outs, itineraries etc. and for organizing the sunday cruise. And for helping me run around getting everything organized in the lead up to the big day. :D oh and for washing my car!!!
