  1. no...it only 50k , it is ok. you can use 30 oil until it reaches 150k. then change to 10w40 but now i use 10w40 at my 60k yaris because i have a lot highway driving.
  2. I bought the car without manual and service book provided. I can see the current coolant is green which is definitely wrong. Toyota said pre 2003 echo fitted with red color long life coolant, and post 2003 echo use pink color super long life. Was wondering if i could use pink color instead of red on this 2000 model. The pink color coolant is premixed so easy to apply.
  3. it is 12 years old, and i got for two years, thought should change
  4. Hello, could you also PM me the link for the manual I have a 2000 echo. Thanks.
  5. I just changed my tyres in Kmart Auto they put in 40psi. You can not get even wear if you just put in the manual recomm.
  6. I have just have my car serviced and found the oil is above the max by 1cm. It should be put in 3.7L but the tech put in 4.7 I think. Is it matter?
  7. Hello all I have a 2000 Echo and need to top up the brake fluid (between middle of min and max), was wondering if I could mix up with the brand, I do not know what the brand of the brake fluid the previous owner put in. Is it must be dot 3? If I need to change it, how much fluid do I need? And is the 2000 echo using the super long life toyota coolant or just long life toyota coolant? Tq.
  8. get to used to yaris manual car
  9. I would think it is common problem in Yaris. At least I see two yaris has rust on the same area and including you thats three. I went to the dealer they said it's OK to leave like this.
  10. My yaris can fold manually. And I know some overseas market yaris such as China has electric folding mirrors.
  11. I usually change gears between 2000 and 3000 rpm and sometimes 3000-4000 when first to second or 3000-4000 when second to third in order to catch up the traffic. And you will find there won't be so much fuel difference when using high revs or low revs to drive for this small engine 1.3L.
  12. just like above owner said, before Oct 08 release, yaris has one reversing light, another is for fog light. After that date, new production take off the fog light due to cost reduction.
  13. I bought two head sensors from toyota at the price of 245 including installation and painting. For a small car like yaris, two head sensor is enough when parking.
  14. Thats the difference of the manual and auto car. I drive a manual 1.3 L yaris, I constantly get 600-700 km per tank, that is average of 6.5L/100KM. Even in summer with 90% AC use, the fuel consumption also returns under 7L/100km, and no matter how deep I kick the pedal the fuel won't affect much. The worst fuel consumption I got is 7.5L/100KM in summer and heave traffic jam, the best I got is 5.5L/100km on highway. I drove a 1.3L auto yaris before on 90% highway around 1300KM and 10% city suburb. I was shocked it returned 7-8 L/100KM.
  15. what I can tell you is my friend bought a new corolla with window tint floor carpet automatic prestige paint at the price of 22,700. So keep bargaining.
