  1. Yes. They left here last Thursday. We've been in discussions with NZPost about liability and have had to produce the packages in their original wrapping for inspection. This has caused a short delay. I believe they are leaving NZ today and should be at their destination within a few days.
  2. More good news. I now have the other package back too. Once again, there is no indication of the reason for the non-delivery/return. Like the other, this will be repackaged and sent away again. cheers Bruce
  3. I'll give it a crack. I haven't got a scanner set up at the moment but will see what I can do.
  4. On the weekend I found the photos I had of the chassis work on the Activa/Yamaha 'concept' car. They clearly show about 2/3 of the width of the drivers side rail being cut away, almost throughout it's entire length, in order to centre the engine/gearbox correctly. This is right by the subframe mounting and, I presume, there'd need to be an engine mount around there too. This has got to weaken this side significantly. I suspect it is because of this that they commented that this conversion would be unlikely to meet any compliance standards in any country where these are enforced.
  5. Had some good news today. I have received one of the two packages back. This one contains 3 rear sway bars. There are no markings or stickers on the package to indicate why it was returned - only a NZ$64 bill. We are presently repackaging this lot before sending it out via reputable courier. This will hopefully mean that the other package is quite close also, although should it not appear this week we can not read anything into that. We are still anticipating some answers on Friday or perhaps Monday. Bruce
  6. All orders received prior to the handover, with the exception of one from Greece, were completed before the handover. TNZ have my contact details if they are receiving any mail about prior business. I've had nothing passed on.
  7. The July 7th date is thye datye they'll supply information from their enquiry. Seemingly there's a protocol which these organisations adhere to which requires enquiries to be sorted within a certain timeframe. July 7th is it.
  8. That's correct. We were asked to provide a product & mail it to a given address. We've done that & can verify each step in the process. Our responsibility ended when the goods were accepted at the post office. It seems that the words "group buy" have been dropped from the equation here. I think you need to lighten up here. It's been exactly 10 weeks since we received instructions to proceed with the order. It's been approximately 6 weeks since we sent the goods and 4 weeks since we discovered there were issues. Not 5 months as you've suggested. The wheels turn slowly in sorting these issues out. I've spent an hour on the telephone today. The NZ Post people have explained the process to me and given me the date of July 7th for an answer. There is nothing to be gained from hounding the people who are working for us on this any more than we are already doing. My realistic expectation is that the goods will turn up within that time. Let's keep a lid on it until at least then. Corey, this is the 1st I've heard about the Brisbane consignment. Please explain what's missing. All consignments were correct when they left here.
  9. I have just spoken to NZ Post. The enquiry system is a cumbersome one. No doubt you'll be as surprised as I am that in today's day & age this is all conducted by post, not email. They received the addressee's acknowledgements back only yesterday. An enquiry notice has been served on AUS Post and the anticipated date of response is July 7th. Will keep you posted. Bruce
  10. Bill, I imagine if they can tell you when it left they should also be able to tell you a consignment note #. I know you will already have asked this but perhaps it's worth another go. Sometimes just getting a different person on the other end of the phone brings a better response.
  11. That's an enquiry started by NZ Post because they have no information whatsoever. It's an absolute mystery to me why it is that between them & AUS Post they cannot marry up the outward consignment note # with the return #. It appears to be an AUS Post issue as they're the ones with holding the information. Bill, I'd suggest you hound your local PO with the original consignment note #'s. Try & talk to whoever it was that told you they were being returned. The NZ Post enquiry will get to the bottom of it but may take some time.
  12. Nothing yet. NZ Post cannot reference any information from AusPost. So we have no idea where these things are right now. They have initiated a formal search procedure for me. In reality, all consignments that go undelivered are returned by the cheapest means which means surface mail. This is likely to take 2 to 3 weeks so we're still within the timeframe that it would conceivably take for these items to arrive back here. My experiences of the search process is that the goods usually turn up before the 'official' information does. Will keep you posted.
  13. I would say, judging by the pictures of the workshop, that the customer got the job they should have expected. The 2ZZGE fitment into Echo has been discussed many times before. I've not seen or heard of either a road going, or race, version of this mod in NZ. But I have a little experience of this conversion and believe that's what barryogen was referring to in his earlier post. This is what I had to say on Toyspeed. I've highlighted the important bits. "2ZZGE swap. I think this has been covered before. There's a quite famous European Yaris which had this engine installed. (this is the red car in the pictures at the beginning of this thread) This was a show car only - not a road going car - built as a marketing exercise for Yamaha (we were told). It was arranged by a design company called Activa. I contacted them directly at the time for some information and they were happy to oblige sending me drawings and photographs of the install and particularly the modifications required to the chassis rail. Such was the extent of these modifications that they advised that it would be unlikely to pass a compliance test in any country with any meaningful design standards. " The major issue was the extensive cutting and reshaping of the drivers side inner rail in order to centre the engine/gearbox. If this work hadn't been done in the conversion we've seen here, and I suspect it hadn't, the whole thing would be off centre and this may account for the engine mount issues. The angle of the motor doesn't look right either.
  14. Haven't seen them. Will follow them up tomorrow - as much as I can.
