Just wondering if anyone has experienced this before, after i have hit lift a couple of times and gone for a 'spirited' drive i experience this grinding clunking noise when i break normally to slow down to a stop at the lights for example. It sounds a lot like ABS kicking in when i slam on the breaks to avoid an accident!! and im only break very S L O W L Y...........? What could this be? i have a 2005 corolla sportivo with only 21k on it....surely my breaks aren't gone already? its only been a year and i rarely drive my car HARD continuously or break HARD continuously? if someone could shed some light on this it would be great....thanx in advance.

After much searching i have found some engine oils to use in my 2005 facelift sportivo....but alls i am looking for here is a straight down the line answer, no "maybe this or maybe that". my current enigne oil lookin a little too dark for my likeing so id just like to know what oil will run smoothly and efficiently in my car. i dont mean to be rude ...i just want a plain answer so i can change my engine oil ASAP. Thank you all. hey people, just booked my car in to get it checked out at nunawading toyota for gear crunching/sticky gears....spoke to some bloke over the phone he was a bit of a tool and said he never heard of someone having such problems of course! lol i really hope the problem is replicated when they test drive i want this problem fixed damn it! if they cant replicate the problem......can i still ask them to adjust the clutch higher anyway? or will they jst be a$$holes about it? anyone who has dealt with nunawading toyota plzzzzz get back to me!! cheers. im in melbourne btw, oh and ZAV you said u went to nunwading to get it done..howd it go? has the problem been fixed at all?

hey guys i also have a bit of an issue with the 1st to 2nd gear change, as well as 2nd to 3rd. from 2nd to 3rd its almost like i cant feel the synchros let me shift into 3rd....not smooth at all....i have an 05 stivo its done 10500 on the clock and its only been a couple of weeks after the 10,000km service. should i ask about the clutch adjustment...? i just want smooooooth changes for F*$# sake!! i jst feel like the more i wanna drive hard the more damage im gonna do to my clutch or gearbox??? plz help me :(

im jst curious as to what can prove to be bad for your car mechanically as a result of eveyday driving....so for example riding the clutch, rollinging neutral, engaging the clutch around corners,etc. a lot of things i here are myths but...i just want to know if anyone can educate me on this sorta of stuff im not a mechanic but at the same time i dont have the time to read about "how the car works" so some simple replies would help. im just mainly concerned about certain actions that could eventually cause a lot of internal damage on the car. cheers.

just recently i was really giving it to my stivo, wanting to see how high i could keep the revs up and one of my gear changes caused a bit of a loud thud....maybe coz i let the clutch out a bit too quickly. my mate heard it n he reckons its the differential basically Sh**ing itself. as im still gettin used to the car i felt a bit bad and decided to drive like a granny for the rest of the time :( .....lol is this realllllllly bad for the car? and which part does it most likely effect? thanx in advance for all your replies! p.s. i think im gonna take it easy from now on............

hey people got my stivo last night and am rapppped with it! the interior needed a gooooooood clean so i mainly used a mix of water/windex on the vinyl.....but am unsure wat to use on the leather seats without making them look warn, etc.....??? any ideas besides expensive lether cleaner stuff.....would be very helpful! thanx everyone looking forward to your replies -Robby.

Just a quick post for all you stivo owners out there.....what type of fuel do you use most frequently? whether it be BP ultimate, caltex vortex 98, optimax, etc........ i would be really interested to know why (e.g. cost efficient, etc.).....as i am weighing up which way to go... thanx to all of those for your input.

hey pple jst wanted to know if tight-fit sportivo seat covers exist? if so where can i get them? and how much are they normally? by tight fit i mean...they sorta mold themselves around the shape of the seat with elastic lol. thanx in advance for any helpful replies..
