Very reluctant sale. Relocating from Qld to Vic and can't afford to take cars with me. 1979 KE38 5dr Wagon. 4K motor/4spd man. Original condition only 2 owners. Very clean and tidy unit. Body VG, no rust, a respray would bring her up a treat. Interior VG. Drivetrain VG. Tyres near new. Brakes just overhauled and braided S/S brake lines fitted on front. All 4 shocks New. New front swaybar bushes. Driven less than 500km since repairs made. Safety cert and rego 06/11. 100846klm on clock. This really is a great little car. It drives just great. NO BAD HABITS. Good point, Forced Induction over engineering. I haven't seen a 2GE out of a car yet. Would love to get a look at the insides though. We have a couple of TD04 Turbos laying about. This could be an option. Tuning and trans I think will give us the most hassle. Do you know what other models carry the same motor but fitted inline? I think even stock the Toyota motor is going to be pretty spectacular compared with the Leyland unit.

Hey all, I am new to these 2GE motors in my Aurions. My other Toyotas are proberly older than most of the members here :D What I want to know is, has anyone looked into gear drives, will they work with the VVTI or does anyone have some cam dialing specs. My cousin and I are kicking the idea of fitting a 2GE into an o'l Range Rover for next years Endevour Rally. We did consider the supercharger but we are worried about intake issues with dust ect. I figured a bit of cam timing mods, different chip ect should do the trick. If I can get the results it should be good for sport/street use. Also what Toyota 4wd box if any will bolt up so we can get a north/south alignment. Cheers

Hi All, Thought I better give a quick intro. My is Peter. I was once the owner of a Datsun 1200 Coupe(sadly missed) but I hope you don't hold that against me as I now hold the slips for 2 Aurion SX6's. "Spookie"; 2010 mod in Liguid Metal and "Shadow" 2009 mod in Ink. Other cars in my stable: 1979 KE38 Corolla 5dr Wagon(original 1 Owner), 1980 Te72 T18 Hatch(project), 1947 13cwt Chev Truck(project), picking up a Ke55 sedan and Ke70 sedan this week just to see how much the missus can get of the groung without rocket fuel. Yes I know I name my cars! Sad very sad but I don't care. Live out in the boonies of western Queensland. My admiration for the Aurions started back in 06 with our first company suplied one. We liked them so much after driving the Ford xr6 and the Commadore Belina that we ended up purchasing the Toyota after the lease's were up. Now I am looking to give Shadow a bit of a touch up in the performance arena and I am not up on the do's and don'ts of the here new fangled contraptions. Looking at maybe, intakes, pipes and chips. Will post up some photos as soon as I can find them on this computer. I am always loosing stuff!! I think that is enough for now. Cheers
