  1. i always tell customers to leave it on for a hour and with a jumppack, seems to work. i.e. they dont call back. to replace your remotes you will need a new cir unit, about six weeks ago they were none in australia, you can get your reset though, and you will need 2 remotes as the reset/new cir replacement procedure requires it. hope this helps
  2. couple of things to note about 09/09 "g" system toyotas, you need a working master key to enroll new keys, no master key start saving, toyota will charge prohibitively, (have heard of $4200.00 for a 2010 corolla to get it started) . to remove the dash and replace on some models i think 3 computers. only one different is a yaris, although i havent done one, you can get to the required connector via the passenger saftey balloon removal. and these keys cannot be cloned yet. so hang on to your keys. i supply cut and code "g" keys for $95.00, as long as there is a working master. easy way to tell if you have a master, insert key into ignition, if security light goes out immediately its a master, if it stays on for around 2 seconds then goes out its a valet key, "g" valets are useless. these rules apply to some pre 09/09 toyotas as well. bottom line, if you only have one master key, find someone to make a couple of spares. hope this helps.
  3. might pay you to check with toyota service dept on how much it will cost (last one i heard about was just over 4k) if you lose that one and only key, toyota "g" systems and up 09/09 corolla /hilux/crusiers and probably others are real expensive as nothing in the aftermarket sphere, is/will talk to that computer. toyota has closed all back doors in the software because of being smashed across asia with relatively easy key generation. fyi this is not the case i the usa. they can still reset the cars computer without dash panel removal. good luck if you still have a master key, you can get keys added to the car, by toyota or a reputable locksmith, no master key, ouch.
  4. im a auto locksmith with considerable experience in reseting/rewriting ecus after keys have been lost. heaps cheaper than talking to the dealers. www.locksmith24hours.com.au cheers
