Driving along the South East Freeway (QLD) heading back towards town there was roadworks being done. Speed signs went from 100 - 40 KM/HR. Low and behold there was a police officer (usual at roadwords) but he had a hand held radar! What I am curious about is can they take pictures or do they need to pull you over to write a ticket? I know in other states (WA,NSW) they are capable of taking still images just like their mobile vans. Is this the case in QLD? I can only imagine that if he was able to take pictures then there would be alot of people with fines..... :( SPH
