  1. Azza Had mine done at Lexus Indro. My pedal sits higher indeed! It takes a little getting used to but it definitely improves the jamming problem at low and high revs. Improves the notchiness problem (but does not remove it). When I queried Lexus about it - my mechanics name was Val (I think) he indicated that the height of the pedal was a direct result of following the Technical News Flash to the letter. SPH
  2. Spotted XX Azza on Coro Drive - 8:25pm - nice setup. :)
  3. Spotted Black 2005 Stivo Vulture St (Brisbane). Rego BOW XXX. Very nice !
  4. I reported the same behavior RE: Impact of AC Compressor and break pedal travel. They stated - This is normal behavior and expected. Apparently it has something to do with the Booster?????
  5. I have to say that since the Indro Lexus boys did my clutch adjustment and changed to gearbox oil I have not had any baulking on the change (even at 7K + RPM changes!) The gears still feel notchy though - espectially 2cnd/3rd (1st is still at bitch down changing). I guess I can live with it though :)
  6. Very Euero finish. The dash material looks like the alfa romeos. I assume it's fully imported? Based on the figures it's got some go. Given the price of the current "sports" model -- I wonder what the price will be!
  7. I think some (1 or two) have had problems with their second gear synchro's -- when I bought the sportivo the guy at South Side Toyota told me there were double synchros on second. Anyone know if this is true?
  8. Congrats on getting Bob back on the road m8!!
  9. Driving along the South East Freeway (QLD) heading back towards town there was roadworks being done. Speed signs went from 100 - 40 KM/HR. Low and behold there was a police officer (usual at roadwords) but he had a hand held radar! What I am curious about is can they take pictures or do they need to pull you over to write a ticket? I know in other states (WA,NSW) they are capable of taking still images just like their mobile vans. Is this the case in QLD? I can only imagine that if he was able to take pictures then there would be alot of people with fines..... :( SPH
  10. Spotted (well not a first :) ) white sportivo Baines St, Kangaroo Pt. Thanks for helping out with my car Danthuyer !
  11. Spotted silver stivo XXX JAH on high st at Toowong - it was parked there for most of the day.
  12. Welcome. Great to see another cascade blue on the team!
  13. I have noticed that its not a smooth transition into Ist gear (04 stivo) even when nearly stopped. It's interesting that a number of drivers with 04/05 stivos report this as a "car characteristic"..... Also I am interested in the fact that people are able to change into 1st from 5000 rpms. To be honest I doubt my gearbox would be able to.
  14. Spotted... 11:07PM Outbound on the South East Freeway White Stivo Rego 4XX HOK Red Stivo Rego 5XX HHH There were three of us in a row. Never had that happen before. Excellent.
  15. Well I've done 1000KM since the adjustment and in a word CRAP! Got the clutch smell last night (thats CLUTCH) pulling away from a servo (changing at 3000RPM) and no I was not riding the clutch. Gears jam in 3rd now not just the occasional 2cd and 6th ! SST is not getting another go. Its off to Indro Lexus I go !!!!
  16. TRD_141. Am I missing something (obviously). When did you replace the black beast with the new model sportivo? !!! What did you do with the old one? I had noticed that it wasn't parked on Collins St for a while! That explains why ! Err. ... strike that just checked your garage photos. Unless you haven't updated it of course it would seem you have still got old faithfull.
  17. Thanks for that. I've been meaning to ask the question for quite some time but never seemed to get around to it!
  18. Apologies in advance.... This is perhaps to be considered a stupid question ... but Do they refer to the same thing? If not what are they?
  19. Not the most mechanically minded so hopefully you'll forgive the question .... but what is a pivot engine starter?
  20. Had the job done at South Side Toyota. To be honest I am at my wits end. SST customer service is good bu They seemed to take offense when I asked if they had a mechanic who owned a stivo to work on the car. They told me that their foreman is taken away and taken for test drives in new models and undergoes training. I indicated that stivos have their own unique characteristics and perhaps someone who drives them all the time would be able to assess my car more quickly. Took the car for a long drive last night and there is no improvement ... Do any of the Lexus techs have sportivo's?
