Ceramic tint Brisbane?

Hi all,
Does anyone know anything about ceramic tint?
I am having it installed on Friday, I booked my car in despite the fact that when I called all around Brisbane no other car tinters had even heard of ceramic tint.
What's up with that? One tint shop even said "It's a scam, the guy has just made it up" Hmmm...
Can anyone shed any light on this for me?
