  1. well, we think we solved one issue - the engine light is the result of a fuel line sensor, just waiting for the part to arrive to check that solves one problem. So isn't solving the speed alert and cruise control.
  2. well, checked all connections, everything seems fine, but still no go. been to 3 different places about it, none of them know what the issue is, so I'm at a loss.
  3. urgh hate the thought taking it out again to check, it was not easy doing it, guess that leaves me the only option, thanks.. I have checked the fuses all seemed fine.
  4. i'm quite sure everything was connected back.
  5. have taken to a mechanic and no error code found
  6. Have a minor issue and I'm not sure how to fix it, I think it was my fault as I had to remove the panel where the air-conditioning and fan controls are as they stopped illuminating when you turn the lights on (had to disconnect everything to remove the panel), and replaced it so now it lights up, however since doing this, the speed alert, cruise control have stopped working and the engine light is on. Wondered if anyone out there has any ideas, i tried disconnecting the battery hoping that a reset might help but hadn't.
  7. i wouldn't dream on getting used ones ones. So around $90-ish each, plus probably someone to fit 'em - expensive, but worth it. Thanks.
  8. i was planning on new ones, i just wonders if there were non genuine ones around to save some $$$. I was rather hoping that you wouldn't need to remove the door panel/glass (can't figure out to take them off, tried once) and though you could just push it in, so it seems its a little more to it than that, nothing is as simple as one hopes, might be something that someone who knows how to do it to do it.
  9. i need new rubbers for the window channel (where the windows slide on) for the 2 front doors. Anyone know where you can get them apart from Toyota. And what cost? Is it a job to be done professionally or can it be done b yourself?
  10. i think the problem is the keyless remote.
  11. and another new weird thing today, the stupid car locked me in. Unclocked it, sat it, shut the door, and it locked, no matter what I did it wouldn't unlock for ages, even if i pull the lock button on the handle, it just lock again, I had to climb out the window. I this model seem to be problematic, I was talking to a lady at work and she has the same model camry except its an Ateva, she said her car has been doing the locking thing on her, so it seems to be more than a one off i reckon. Anyway I've booked into a toyota dealer for next week, i'm worried that it could be too expensive than what I will be able to afford but there's no one else that can do this sort of thing here.
  12. haven't had a chance to get the problem looked at yet, but I had a different version of this today, when I was walking towards the car, i never pressed the keyless button, and it did it, I wonder if there's a signal problem with the keyless remotes or something. Is there a way you can reset anything or everything?
  13. it did it again just now as i got home, i quickly pushed the button, it locked, then 5-10 seconds later, it unlocked itself and off went the horn, and the flashing indicators, i did all i could but it wouldn't stop, i put key in the door, ignition, started it, tried pushing the button and nothing worked, it kept going, and going, and going, i reefed the horn out for now. what else could i do, its ridiculous.
  14. i'm aware of that and I have not been holding the button long enough to set it off, i only give it a quick press and it'll lock/unlock ok. I don't know how dirt could get in there as it is all sealed. As I said this has happened by using the key as well.
