  1. I would probably go for HID Xenon Conversion Kit with digital ballasts and I am considering 35 W, 5000 K. I am wearing glasses and I find the extra whiteness very helpful during the night. I do not want to break the law or to blind other drivers therefore 35 W would be better (and safer) option than 55 W HID Xenon. Thank you for the advice.
  2. Hi, The new Kluger have projector headlights and the low beam bulb is H11. I have seen some new H11 bulb ( PIAA) and now I am wondering should I buy these or go to HID Xenon Conversion Kit ? PIAA H11 SERIES XTREME WHITE PLUS HEADLIGHT BULBS, TWIN PACK -- DOT and SAE approved; Provides up to 110 watts of brightness from 55 watts; Offers brilliant Xtreme cool white light that illuminates road hazards and street signs longer than normal halogen bulb; 4000 Kelvin rating; Comes with a blue top coat that adds a slight blue tint to the lamp for enhanced curb appeal. They are expensive thought - $77 pair. http://www.autopartsdeal.com/catalog/?N=0&uts=true&Ntt=2008+Toyota+Highlander+PIAA+Headlight+Bulb http://www.tunersdepot.com/Lighting/Headlight-Bulbs/PIAA-Xtreme-White-Plus-Fog-Light-Bulbs---08-08-Toyota-Highlander--H11--60207_print.html
  3. Hi guys, I’ve purchased new facelifted 2011 model Toyota Kluger. This model has an updated headlights and halogen bulbs. I would like to install HID Xenon lights (low beam) and I found that there is so many of them on e-Bay, with the price range from $39 - $129 for the HID Xenon Conversion Kit. Has anyone done this? How complex is the installation? Is it just plug and play or you have to do some wiring as well. Any comments? Cheers http://www.hidxenonlights.com/toyota-toyota-highlander-lights-c-643_97_355
  4. Hi, There might be a some issue of Satellite navigation system with the bigger wheels particularly 21 inches. Toyota Kluger Grande Sat/nav is calibrated to 19” wheels so it may need factory recalibration. Kluger has very unusual tyre size – 245/55/19 and only two brands, Bridgestone H400 and Toyo are available on the market. They are fairly expensive too, a $500 each. If you need new tyres for Kluger you can go 255/50/19” they are a little bit wider but the rolling diameter is the same so they should not interfere with Sat/Nav or speedometer. There are many brands available in this common size and they are cheaper than Bridgestone. Hope this help.

  6. It is because Shell V - Power has 5% Ethanol while BP Ultimate is pure petrol, no ethanol. I hope that you understand now why Shell offers a 4c discount on their fuel through the Coles.
  7. The iPhone 3G, 3.0 software was upgraded with Stereo Bluetooth A2DP audio. That means you can pair it with a compatible devicelike the stereo installed in some cars. I am just wondering can you pair the iPhone 3G to a Toyota Kluger Grande Satellite Navigation and stream the audio file via Bluetooth? Also, I noticed whenever I tried to transfer the phonebook from my iPhone to the Sat/Nav system via the Bluetooth, the connection with iPhone was interrupted.

    Tire pressure

I just picked up my new Kluger Grande and I noticed that the tyres are over inflated - 50 PSI! I've read the safety advice on the tyre and the tyre's maximum recommended tyre inflation pressure is 44 PSI. The manual recommends 32 PSI and I set all tyres on 35 PSI. The driving was much more comfortable particularly over bumps or potholes. I filled the tank with BP Ultimate (98 octane) and I have to say that I am more than happy with the consumption of 12 ltr/100 km. This was based on the first a few hundred kilometres of city driving.
