  1. Hi Guys, I have had my 2005 Toyota Corolla Sportivo for 6 years now and coming up to my 200,000 km major service. I bought the car when it was 111,000km. Currently living in Melbourne at the moment. I have generally completed the engine oil change (every 8,000km approx) and gear box oil (every 50,000km approx) by myself and thanks to the help of the DIY tutorials in this forum. And car batteries changed as required. Recently I have had the following serviced by random mechanics; - Water pump change @ 190,000km approx - Fan Belt change @ 190,000km approx - Coolant Flush @180,000km approx - Brake Fluid Flush @180,000km approx - Fuel Filter Change @180,000km approx - Clutch change @ 150,000km approx - Spark plugs change @120,000km approx The brakes are still pretty thick on the rotors and I believe my rotors are thick enough also to last a while. However my suspension will probably need an inspection. Is there anything other than from the above that I need to consider for the 200,000km service??? And are there any good mechanics in Melbourne that know Corolla Sportivos and that won't charge a fortune. Thanks
  2. Just an update of my status. It was the switch that was the problem. It wasnt making contact when low beam was being switched on. So sprayed it with some lubricant and chucked it back in and the lights are working fine now. :)! Thanks for the input guys
  3. Globes are fine. They are new and they do work only when high beam is pressed. How much was it to replace indicator switch? Indicator switch meaning the whole indicator stalk?? Did he get that from the wreckers?
  4. Hey guys, Just wanted some input on some problems im having with my 2005 facelift sportivo. Currently my low beams are not working. My parkers and my fog lights are working fine. My high beam works fine at the moment too but only when i press it. However my high beam doesnt work when i put it in automatic high beam. Whenever i press the high beam, my low beam lights will turn on. Power seems to be going into my low beam lights when i press the high beam. Whenever i turn my low beam lights on no power is going to them. I checked it on a volt meter. I have checked the fuses they seem to be all fine. Has this problem happened to anyone before? I have done some research it seems to be my head light switch? do you guys think thats the problem?
