Welcome to the club :D I don't suppose modding will be in the pipeline if it's for the missus ;)

Welcome to the club mate :D Oh I thought they'd released a special model of Corolla, (I know it's not Toyota) something like a type r version, and craftily put the extra r into corrolla, then decided that a car with two sets of double letters was ridiculous so they dropped the l ;)
I'm sure you'll find everything you need on the forum with plenty of friendly advice :D

Me too! A real coincidence.
:D I live in Australia aswell ;)
No way, I'm from Australia :D Maybe with all the people here from Aus we should organise some get togethers ;)

Welcome to the club :D Good to see you didn't settle for those extravagant repair costs and did some investigating. Thankfully it didn't blow out in cost and was something nice and simple. Sometimes I wonder how good some mechanics are and how thorough there knowledge is. I suppose it's with everything, you'll always find there are good ones and bad ones

Welcome to the club :D I'm in Vic so wouldn't have any idea about where the best place to pick up some high temp paint would be

Welcome to the club :D Can't wait for the pics

Welcome to the club :D I was in QLD last winter and it was nice and sunny then, I think the weather has turned itself backwards
-
Love the ride, Black FTW :D Gotta love the reflections, very clean and classy looking car
-
Looking like a nice ride, be good to see it in the flesh and with all the plans :D Should be good
-
Car looks amazing in the flesh, absolutely love it :D Just shows how good an Aurion can look

Ok so I've got a couple more pics and a question to put to you.
A mate was discussing my grill with me and he thought it would look even better if I matched the matte surround of the grill to a glossy black finish. What do you guys reckon? And if I were to change to a gloss black, what is the best way of going about it noting that the grill is a plastic?
Also check the driveway out, it keeps getting washed away any time a cloud sneezes,

Sweet, looking like a good meet and we've only just entered Feb :D Great to such such good enthusiasm for this one

Welcome to the club :D Even if it's stock would be good to see some pics

Really nice looking car in the flesh to Benji keen to see the future plans come into play!
Cheers mate, I'll definitely have her cleaner for the Feb meet. She shall be immaculate :D

Spotted a Sliver Aurion Presara with nice shiny mags on the M1 heading towards Melbourne yesterday ~ 1800 Also had a decent tint. If your on here I was the in the Black Aurion Touring with very dark tint, chrome wheels and bass pouring out the car ;)

Hmm, I can see some Bendigo-Ballarat meet's as a possibility in the future
Hahah could do that - haven't been to Ballarat in a while! Aurora would certainly appreciate the cooler temperatures there lol
And to answer your earlier question there are a couple of female drivers now, myself and Barb. Ying is around in Melbourne too, though her partner Michael drove to the BBQ on the weekend. And often girlfriends/female friends tag along too so whilst its mostly guys (who are all a friendly bunch!) you wouldn't be the only girl red97. Both Barb and I are in Bendigo.
So long as someone guides me in Ballarat then, coz I have no idea, very easy to get lost for me seeing as how I don't usually see the town. Now that would be rather comical, if youself, Tash, Barb and I headed to Ballarat and met with red97 then I'd be the only guy, outnumbered 3 to 1 :o Actually if you count Abby, Aurora and Luna.........And Abby would love the cooler temps as well :D

27th of Feb is my birthday guys, so I highly doubt this will be a yes from me..
Awww come on :) I will get cake!! There are a few birthdays in Feb so I'd say there will be a cake...
That reminds me, we have to organise a cake, don't we ;)*wink wink nudge nudge*
And I wonder if we can get the One Tree Hill hotel to set aside some parking for us, as there was very little last time we went.
Heheh yes, yes we do. Kenpo makes the third birthday of the month...
That's a great idea, we'll have to ask them about that too. You keen for a run out to Lake Eppalock one night/Saturday or Sunday? If we do it on the weekend we could check out the route again and then other potential photo locations :D
Sounds like fun, count me in :D
Also a note on I think it's part 2 of Nathan's videos, we wont be using any dirt road so don't let the video deter you, just missed a turn, lol
Below are just a couple of quick shots of where to go
Is the zoomed out version to show the exit and within the red rectangle is the next one
Close view of the exit ramp and roundabout. Vicroads is circled in red and as can be seen there are plenty of parks :D

I have absolutely no technical background in the air conditioning, but I find that when I have mine set at lower temps, under 20.5, then when I start the car it will automatically be on recirc, but for temps higher than 20.5 it's default start is fresh.
I've done a couple of tests whilst driving and when it's at the "Lo" setting if I go from fresh to recirc, the air seems to come out at a faster rate. Never really liked the recirc except for blocking out the smell of diesels, but now I'm not so sure
-
Ok, while it's still fresh in my mind I'll post on here what the plans are just so I have somewhere as a point of reference.
Firstly looking at a double din head unit and facia fitting kit, or maybe a personalised plate. If not then a slimline plate is a definite. Next to come should be the rear sway, front lower bar and strut, and then following will possibly be an exhaust system which will be a custom job (as in backyard ;)) and finish with a set of coilovers. A lot of money to be spent so will be saving for a while, also have to pay for the deposit on a house later this year so it will be a slow road of upgrading. Somewhere in the mix I plan to change all the interior lights to blue as well, not really practical but will look rather cool. Also somewhere in the mix is changing the lights to HID's
Planning on testing out Abby on plenty of track days and the quarter mile. Be good to go for a dyno run as well. Will have to schedule around track days on my motorbike though as I know it will be much quicker around the track and a lot of fun. Just have to alternate :)

Johnnies & Benjies rides...i dare not show the front on photo i took of Benjies ride, damn bugs.
Thanks for a great day
Lee
Cheers mate, lol. The trip from Bendigo is not kind to the car, I need a truck to follow down so he can collect all the bugs ;)
I'll make sure the car is immaculate for the Feb meet. Survived for the recon run to Kyneton so it should hold up alright. And pretty sure I need to blacken up those tyres :)

Yeh, this is the time when I wish I lived down the beach, just be able to hit the surf and feel the refreshing water cooling me down. And using my futile attempts to prevent my skin from burning ;) Apparently we're meant to be getting some humidity as well which will not be fun. Experienced it in the rainforests of QLD which were unbelievable :D
