  1. 300kg per corner. Who's good at deadlifting? :P
  2. Haha nah I've been many times and tried entering from both sides at multiple angles.. No dice. My front bar isn't that low, it just sticks out heaps which is the problem.
  3. If it's not raining then I might pop down to the Albert Park meet for a bit. Unfortunately I can't get my car into Garage Cafe. Have tried many times. Too low :(
  4. Yeah, I'm keen! I'll come to a meet when I'm free, especially if it's south/east.
  5. Correct! How did you pick it? There's a lot of similar looking exhausts.
  6. Beach carpark at night with misty windows. Couldn't see the exit properly.. ran up the gutter lol :( Been quoted $400 to fix.. Had the cash but thought the new exhaust was more important :P I'm planning to get my new Greddy sideskirts and then I'll get them sprayed up at the same time as the front bar.
  7. Little update.. New zorst New pics New engine lid (ripple-black underside) And the bad news..
  8. Yeah I saw them. Not sure how much longer than stock they are though
  9. I need longer wheel studs for my MR2. An extra 5mm or so would be good to accommodate my 5mm spacers. Supra studs are only a few mm longer so no good. I've heard Lexus studs would fit. Any other options? Cheaper is better, and I need them this week.
  10. F*cking loving the car now. New clutch is heaven! Will try and get a wheel alignment this weekend. Just gotta source some longer wheel studs to go with the 5mm spacers.
  11. The funny thing is that he's been building some of Melbourne's best race cars for over 20 years! It was late friday arvo that he did the swap though, so I can understand he was probably fatigued and such :P And thanks :) It's going to be a weird feeling! I think I'll still be paranoid even though I don't need to be haha
  12. Yeah, you might have seen me around. I've taken it out a few times. You'll see me alot more now though :) Went to visit the car today and turns out my mechanic made a silly mistake. The new gearbox is fine :) He just had the handbrake on so obviously the wheels didn't spin haha Got my full license today. Picking the car up tonight. PERFECT timing. Not looking forward to the bill though :P Probably around the 4k mark I think.
  13. Well looks like car won't be making it back on the road any time soon :( The new gearbox went in today and the driveshafts wouldn't turn. The bloody thing is seized. Might be the diff but that still means we've gotta pull the box out AGAIN. So shattered!! /rant :P
  14. Yeah, didn't look bad as a stock-body (maybe a bit girly?) but it didn't turn heads so I had to change that :P I'm a bit of an attention seeker. Two little updates this week: - New Apexi pod filter (replacing the ****ty autobarn spec one that the old owner put in) - 5mm spacers ordered for the rear. 8mm would've been ideal, but 5mm will still make a difference :) Should get the car back on Tuesday. Hopefully see you all at a meetup soon ;)
  15. Thanks so much for the kind words guys!! Wrong link? :P Or is that first one having a go at my s**t offset? lol Second one is a bit far away. If there's anything south/east suburbs I'll be down!!
  16. I only drove it for 3 months on my P's, back when it was all stock :) Cops didn't look twice. After the respray I took it off the road due to mechanical issues and have barely driven it since (except locally to keep it running). It's getting fixed right now. Should be done by next Monday (feb 14th), which is conveniently when I get my full license ;) After that I just need a wheel alignment (as you can see in the photos!) and attempt to fix the air con. Hoping it just needs a regas..
  17. Thanks guys :) Might also add a 'before' photo. This how I got the car (terrible I know..)
  18. Hey all, my name is JD and this is my little beast :) It's been a long time coming but in less than 2 weeks this car will be hitting the road for good. My focuses when building this car: Looks (exotic look inside/out) Handling (firming up the already great handling MR layout) Reliability (I do 500km a week) Sound Quality (being a music producer I find it essential) And enough power to put V8s to shame, without affecting reliability and fuel economy of course ;) Apologies for all the phone pics! I'll get some decent ones soon, I promise :) Body: 1990 Aus-delivered No power steering, no ABS, no CC etc. Respray in Mazda Velocity Red Sard front bar Toms side skirts Greddy wing Greddy rear pods Raybrigs headlamps Diamond Vision headlights White LED parkers Brand new clear indicators Brand new 94+ tail lights Shaved aerial Rolled guards Performance: 1995 GEN3 turbo engine & gearbox (182kw standard) Exedy HD Cushion Button clutch Xtreme lightened flywheel Twosrus boost controller @ 15psi Walbro fuel pump Upgraded intercooler with shroud & polished pipes Top Gun ignition leads HKS intake HKS BOV Unknown aftermarket exhaust Estimated power: 200-215kw ICE: Optima Yellowtop D35 Battery Pioneer AVIC-F910BT DVD/GPS/Bluetooth unit Orion 6.5" Splits Coustic Amp (speakers) Kenwood Amp (sub) 12" Sony Slimline Subwoofer Suspension: BC BR Series Coilovers Cusco front strut brace TRD rear strut brace Wheels: SSR SP1s (Resprayed in R32 Gunmetal Metallic) 17x8 +29 17x9 +38 Hankook Evo V12 225/40/17 235/40/17 Interior: Recaro seats retrimmed in cream leather TRD short shifter kit Blue dash LEDs Blue footwell neons Apexii turbo timer and the only hi-res pics I could find lol:
