  1. They actually don't have to take the water pump off to do the timing belt, but it's a good idea to do it at the same time as it saves on labour as everything is already off. That's actually a fairly decent price, it's a fairly labour intensive job to do a timing belt, plus the rest of that list of jobs. You got a reasonable deal. Thanks Guys, Now I can have peace in my mind.
  2. Hi all, Last week I bought a 94 model Camry Automatic with 202,000kms on the clock for $2100. after that I got it inspected from a mechanic, he suggested some repairs and I asked him to do those repairs. The list is below. timing belt replacement CV boot replacement Engine Service Service the Automatic transmission system Replace all the belts Replace alternator regulator replace bonnet stubs replace all pump seals replace AC compressor oil inspect the electrical system and replace few bulbs apart from that I had to replace the front tires as the old ones were very bold. And it needed an wheel alignment as well. They provide all the parts for above service (including tires). And they charged me $1,100 for this service. can anyone suggest me if this amount is too much for the above list of work. What would be the average cost for above list of work. thanks in advance
