  1. Varex is in... Resonator is still in.. Sounds amazing and quite enough not to get a headache from during a long drive. Thanks for the suggestions

  2. I so want to do the varex muffler upgrade.. need to decide whether to take resonator out or leave it in...

leave it.. the varex is LOUD when it's open.

from first hand experience: leave it in. but just enough to get rid of the offensive sound ;)

  3. Sorta on the same topic.... Would it be illegal to have lighting underneath the car that is connected to the drivers door switch... To have the effect that they would come on only when the drivers door is opened. (just to be different) I have read through what I believe is the Government documents online and say that you can have under car lighting any colour as long as the car is stationary.. anyone know if this is correct?
  4. Unless you buy a TRD. Then you get a spacesaver. I genuinely did not know that. That sucks more than a Dyson. Sorta off topic Sorta on topic... Went and had a look at one of those diesel ford fiesta's.... guess what they give you standard... No wrong not a full size spare.. Nope again... not even a spacesaver.. They include as standard..... a repair kit.... what happens if you totally stuff the tyre or rim up and could drive on a spare.. Salesperson did tell me that they can supply a spacesaver for a price.. Sorry about the off topic thing..
  5. I certainly agree Hmm.... I kinda like the idea of ABS, VSC, TC, SRS etc being there in the background as backup in case I need extra help in an emergency situation..... I mean you obviously don't RELY on these saving your ar$e, but it's good to have just in case. I wouldn't want cars to be built like the holden kingswood where you got no modern driver assist technologies whatsoever. A person in one of those in a crash is like a soft boiled egg in a metal box that got dropped. The box may or may not have some damage, but if you look inside, what used to be an egg is now a gooey splattered, mangled mess. Yeah, nah. Gimme all the gizmos and do-hickeys and driver assist technolomologies ya got! :P Then what happens to the skill of driving? Nothing, everybody on the road should learn how to drive properly. The point is, these are driving AIDS, not Autopilots. These technologies should be in place not so much to save the hoon driver who's being an absolute turkey on th roads, but the poor schmuck who's staring down the barrel of being a road fatality statistic through no fault of their own.. If the poor schmuck's vehicle has ABS, TC, VSC etc, he/she'd have a better chance (however slim it may be) of getting out of a situation that's going to get very very bad very very very quickly. Thats a good point. I had in my head that my sister has a subaru liberty that has traction control..... 2.5L 4Cyl all wheel drive that has traction control.. Its those sort of decisions that make me shake my head... so I turn it off everytime i drive it. I would turn it off in the Aurion more if I didn't have to do the brake pumping action

People will take corners faster then they usually would, thinking that this stuff is going to sort it out (or thinking that they are Lewis Hamilton) and save them... which it will.. 9 times out of 10. Don't get me wrong though, they do help with the few people that put their car sideways after a light drizzle of rain but I certainly don't want to be driving next to that person who loses it that easily/pushes the car to lose it. SRS isn't really an assist though is it? more of a necessity on all modern cars.
  7. I've also made the enquiries (at a different exhaust shop) and have had no response like that. Infact the mechanic didn't say anything about pressures or weight which made me think that there wasn't much change if any. Did you get a quote for how much it would cost? I got just over a grand for twin mufflers and resonator removal + labour (I haven't had the exhaust done at this point of time)
  8. Have a look at the photos of the combination meter ... this is included. That would be good... With now 204kW we shouldn't technically see any going around with P plates on them... in queensland atleast.
  9. Something that would be nice would be to have instant fuel economy reading. Having the average is good but something I wanna see what i'm getting at one specific moment in time. e.g. going up hills, coasting, compression braking, overtaking slow cars....
  10. Definetly should not have an automatic parking assist feature. People soon won't be able to get into their cars with some sort of electronic assistance.
  11. At least your hasn't got scratches and crap around the top. Mine looks like someone (not myself) has scratched all the dash while trying to get the vents out.
  12. Absolutely nothing wrong. 1. You're not trying to mislead others into thinking that your car is something that it's not 2. Your car isn't plastered with badges (i hope) 3. Do what you want. It's your car! Yeah well I figured seeing as it is a sportivo and theres technically only one badge on the car that says sportivo that I would put another one on the front. I don't see anything wrong with putting TRD badges on your car.... as said in point 3... "Do what you want. It's your car!" (couldn't have said it better)
