  1. How much do they usually cost fitted? The second last picture ones look tidy
  2. Hey all just wondering if this is something to worry about or not. After taking my car into the dealer to get its 75000km all was well except i was told that i had a slight oil weep from my timing cover. As far as im aware there isnt any gasket or seals there. Is this something to worry about? When i asked them to show me they said the engine had been pressure cleaned and i would not see where it was coming from. Any help would be most appreciated cheers
  3. Hi all, Recently after driving my aurion slightly harder than i usually do, when stopped at the lights my engine seemed to increase in idle several times whilst i was still stopped (like i was reving it) . Also after take off the gearing was very sharp and jerky. Just wondering what this could have been from? Excessive fuel intake? Poor fuel? Computer not recognising the fuel it used and a slightly light mix being used? dirty throttle body? Im not too concerned, as it stopped fairly quickly just wondering what would cause this? or the most common cause? Cheers
  4. cheers i had my last car for 10yrs and i did all the services myself but i really want to look after this one (get the book filled). Im new to the newish car service and car care
  5. My 75K service is coming up soon :( , how much will it cost from a toyota dealer? and what extras do they change other than fuel filter?
  6. When i bought mine the tyre pressure was 30psi all round. Ive got it now on 38psi. The ride is a little bit bumpier but the wear on the tyres is drastically reduced by having the slightly higher pressure
  7. I thought it might be an opinion thing. Im gonna continue to use the 98 ron while i can afford it but im glad to know that if i have to switch to just regular premium that the difference it makes on my car will be minimal. Thx
  8. cheers dk. I thought as much. Getting 600km at zero on the 'cruising range' and im pretty sure theres about 10-15L left in the tank. Sorry if this is a stupid question but if the 98 ron is more resistant to ignition than the 91 and this is its only beneficial characteristic, why use it over the 91?
  9. I paid $1.46 last week for V-Power 98, n so far im getting round 500km to the tank before the light comes on. Im driving my car to 0 on the 'cruising range' for the first time this week. Hopefully atleast get 560-580kms. anyone use the wynns racing octane booster? I heard a mixed range of opinions on using the additive.
  10. How do you get rid of window dots? Ive tried eagle 1 window cleaner, washing and drying with a shammy or papper towel or white cotton rag and i even tried vinegar neat, soak in then wash off then dry but still i cant get them off. I currently do not hav a car port and would really appreciate any help on to remove those annoying spots. Thx
  11. thx guys, its booked in now to fix the rattle/squeek and there also goin to hav a look at my suspension and air con. I think my coil overs are set to rigid(It can be a bumpy ride sometimes on what looks like smooth road) and there is a stain on my passenger seat floor mat which may indicate a leak in the cooling system or air con heater pipe (However i just noticed it when cleaning the car on the weekend and it could b from anything). Thx again
  12. Hi all, Ive had my 07 prodigy for about 6 weeks now. I bought it with a used car 3 month dealers warranty. The Dash is making creaks and slight rattling sounds and when i turn hard it sounds like something my be shifting/moving inside (could be papers and service book. Ill check the glove box) Do you think this would be covered under my warranty. It only appears intermitently? Also on an unrelated matter the top three lines/ wires of my rear demister are not working at all. Would this be covered under warranty? Or is this an annoying trait of rear demisters. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i don't want to take it back to many times, because i truely do enjoy the way it drives atm (when its not creaking) Thx guys
  13. I used S for the first time since i bought the car yesterday and found that there is a slight delay between changes but it did not change on its own when pushed into the red (just made the engine work/rev harder). Other than the slight delay when changing i found it very good for driving a little harder than normal.
  14. Im also in the process of buying a boot liner, as i have the same problem with my boots n work overalls. I found some toyota ones on ebay for a very reasonable price and will be purchasing some soon. Also i think those large plastic tubs that u can get from bunnings would provide the perfect compartment for all your dirty (markables) and would also provide a more stable area on the plastic/ rubber boot liner. simply just take the wheels off. This will protect your boot and stop the roller coaster back there while your driving.
