  1. Long time Jeffy.. 🙂 glad you still here. Yes Trent.. Off topic. lol
  2. Update.. now has Kut Snake Flares and Inter-cooler which I had to cut and paste from available parts and cut down stock parts, as there is no kit for this particular 1kz motor. Noticeable difference uphills and general overall performance. I should have put inter-cooler on sooner. Scoop to come.
  3. I cant help with that sorry... but you could always move the standard mounts rather than make an adaptor plate. That in itself would be have its own challenges. If you get down to Batemans Bay ever.. inbox me and you can have a look in person and take some measurements.
  4. Hi, To be honest I cant remember how much it cost... he spent 2-3 hours on it.. I used the original key and barrel which had to be wired up correctly.. (even though it started before the electrician did his thing).. little things like the fan, clock, wipers, and some other dash bits needed some tweaking.. if I'd had the wiring diagram I could have figured most out myself. I now have a manual.. I recommend getting one if you don't have it already. Cheers
  5. It's always a good idea to check for the less obvious reasons why something isn't working... like a fuse... The End..
  6. Yes there is diesel getting into the primer and pump.. I have checked by removing the outlet hose and diesel comes out when push on primer.
  7. Hi all, I replaced the plenum and intake on the 1kzte.. I had to disconnect the lines from pump to injectors to get the job done. Before starting the change everything was running fine. Now I cannot get the lines bled up to the injectors.. I have cracked the lines at injectors so the air can release, pumped the primer and turned the engine over too many times to count.. no diesel is coming out of the lines.. the manual I have for the engine/hilux is of no help. Is there something Im missing here? A nut to crack on the pump? A screw or something on the pump to help the bleed? Thanks for any advice
  8. Hi Matt, Thanks.. I get a smile every time I drive it.. I can tell you one thing... the 1kz-te gearbox is much larger than the 3L box, and I'd be surprised if it was possible.. My only complaint about the whole setup is that the standard diffs for the LN106 are geared to low for the 1kz. But if you have decent size tires you'll be ok. Things you must have for this conversion are..the complete wiring loom with computer, steering column controls/stalk, dashboard with rpm speed etc, speedo cable, gearbox and one piece tailshaft, 1kz air box, (3L box is very small and restrictive) exhaust system upsize.
  9. The bullbar and rear bar will be sprayed in hammer tone along with the inside of tub.
  10. Hi Victor, How did your friend go? The mechanic who passed my conversion had no problem with the mounts on mine.. A bit of an update to the Hilux.. its getting a respray.. should be able to post up some pics very soon. Its going to be Holden purple.. something different!
  11. No problems with diff clearance.. everything went smoothly.. the wiring job was not fun at all.. I recommend an auto elec for the final touches.. I got it going but some of the dash accessory stuff was wired slightly differently.. but if you have the wiring diagram you should be ok.
  12. Here is a pic of the right mount.. as you can see the plate that is welded on the original mount is quite thick and measures about 11cm across.. the space between the centre of both bolts is 2 inches.. What you cant see is 2 extra small bolts that are below each large bolt. to stop pivoting.
  13. Hi.. I cant make them for you... but I could possibly take some measurements for you and take some pics.. I wont be able to do this until the weekend though..
  14. Yes you are right about the fan.. also I found that the 1kz motor moves a bit more when I revved it up and the fan bumped on the fan shroud.. so I just cut a section out and all good. If the gearbox cross member all fits perfectly then you have the mounts right I would think.. The Radiators are completely different for the 1kz an 3l. I had to cut off the bend section on the bottom of the radiator I had for it to work.. I got one of the aluminium radiators you can find cheap on ebay for the 3L long before I did the conversion and it works perfectly.. Happy to help.. ask away
