  5. Sorry to dig up a old thread, my wife's 2015 oem Camry has 2" exhaust going into 2 x mufflers 2" in and 2" out, which makes them bigger then our Aurion's oem mufflers. If some one works at a muffler shop Maybe you can check to see if they cross reference to fit ??
  6. I used to have a Holden nova. Carny auto . I rebuilt and Fitted a 4age red top with blue top cams and messed around with the sensors So it kept on giving it a heap of fuel. I kept on adding timing until it didn't ping at idle. It had a. 20v c52 limo diff box from a black top which I managed to get my hands on whilst working at a import shop. New superpro bushes all around and up rated sway bars front and rear will make it Into a new car to drive, I used to run 3deg neg camber on my Corolla, and I still used to chew the outer edges of the tyres around. It was super quick thru the corners and went thru tyres and brakes about every 6 months. I ran ae101 coil overs in the front and Kyb and jumbo springs (Liverpool) on the rear. 1.5" lowered all round to keep normal look. Where is your location and what's your driving style why are you wanting to upgrade? If your smashing corners 247 I'd stay away from pedders and get coil overs so they can be rebuild at a fraction of the cost. Drop me a pm For further info.
  7. Toyota sealed system is a superior system, as it's very hard to contaminate the system which means a longer service life. Even though you have to undo a gearbox mount to get the Trans sump off to replace the filter. ( the engineers should have added a cut out in the cross member ) This situation could have been easily avoided if your mechanic followed the procedure. I'd be passing the costs on to the person that did the Trans oil. Your lucky it didn't blow the front seals out , then that's a gear box out job.
  8. Wesfil filter kit WCTK134 according to the web site .. I refilled mine with gulf western oil SYN TS 2.8L
  9. My wife's 2014 Camry sx, the exhaust outlets are bigger then the Aurion by a bees ***** ... Maybe a Toyota parts guy can confirm parts numbers and interchangeability?

  14. I have yellow speed racing coil overs from my mcv20 Camry. I'm Running 8/5 rates. I had to change the top mounts on the front to fit in the Aurion.. Best 850 I've ever spent. Now for a rear swar bar from ultra racing
  15. Thanks for the additional info Steve. I'll call my guys at pirtek to get me some decent hydraulic hose .. My Aurion has 235k on the clock and has the rubber hose..
  16. From your story id say that is a dealer ship issue. Assuming it's getting 100% servicing and repairs done at the same dealership which is not so much a factory issue. Have you lived at the same address since you purchased the unit? Or when you moved did you advise toyota Australia and not the dealer ship? When I have a vehicle come into my workshop we make sure all the recalls are done, even if the customer has not requested it. Our system will flag the vehicle if a recall has not been done.
  17. Sorry I don't understand some comments on here . My understanding of some of the comments are Toyota brought out a correct repair method, discontinued the failed part and some people are not happy about this ? And 7 years then your car just failed, and its a engineering problem? that sounds like the mechanic not checking the vehicle properly as he could have bent the pipes back into correct position. If the hose rubbed thru, Id get a transmission oil cooler line and fit that pirtek can do that. A engineering problem would be like a gearbox main shaft breaking thru the oil gallery.
  18. Sorry to dig up a old thread, do you know a "China" based hilux has been tuned up to 246kw... Maybe we could do a ecu swap?. I done a quick search and cannot find internal differences between the 1gr Aus spec vs 1gr China spec... Have not checked 2gr vs 1gr Ecu pinouts nor connector styles ..
