  1. I just went to the Asian Toyota site, used Chrome to translate the site didn't know it could do that :P Yes the Athlete looks like and amazing car!! has more gadgets than our top of the line Holden or Ford. Most of their cars are AWD and RWD I cannot believe it till I saw it. Whats wrong with Australia, After seeing that I will not be upgrading my Aurion, my last payment is next week and I was seriously going to buy a TRD! But not now after reading your comments and going to the Asian site. They also have 255KW RWD sedans that weigh 1550! with crazy technologies I just cannot comprehend. I cannot see Australia getting these affordable, Powerful, High end quality cars even tho there under 60k because the Government supports GM they wouldn't want our money going to another vehicle manufacture, overseas or here, even if it meant lower Co2 or less deaths on the road.
  2. ahem!! OK Okka Bill, if you think Australian build quality is finer than Japanese you haven’t been anywhere! How many Holden’s have different coloured front and rear bars, Ford, Holden’s, Toyota's s made in Australian gaps left, right of boot and bonnet unequal? Ummm all of them!! How many Holden employes weld the word F-U-C-K in the chassis 20% of them, Will we get fired if we tell the supervisor there a 3 mm gap either side of a SSV, or W420 on the line, Yes! why? to much work, and paper work. Trust me x Holden's employee for 13 years! Mitsubishi 4 years. How many Austrlain built cars are downgraded in luxury even high end models? All of them! How many Aussie built cars have dash rattles and cheap plastic crap? All of them! How many Aussie Built cars have Large engines and Pissy brrakes!! All of them Do you see a trend! Now back on topic, The rod will be easily put into place, before you do it, make sure you have the correct sockets the bolt nearest to the ABS is a bitch so use a high quality socket or she's-a-gonna snap mate! take you about 20 minutes. I would of thought this bush didn't have a life cycle, but it was made in Melbourne mate :P Oh 86 is made in Japan for now, and has about 148KW and weighs in @ about 1250 so not a fast car, however the engine should sit a bit lower than WRX being RWD too.
  3. Yet another kick ***** Thailand Stereo upgrade :)
  4. Dont they have to be Studio active / powered monitors SPL 134db + Class D amp to be an Audiphile fan :P hehe Thailand Vs Australia Just s**t stirring lol your rig is definitely better than mine. The Thai one is just a virtuoso!! Theres sure a hell allot of base there. do you have / or plan on getting an annular polymer diaphragm, neodymium, compression driver to balance it out? Unless you like R&B and dance then your fine, that music never reaches any ranges anyway :) I'll stick with my 8x JBL prx612m's for mastering and composing music there bad ***** powered speakers :P
  5. Ahem. Did you even look? Sorry, looked with mans eyes :P
  6. Diff Bounce in wet drags! lol Not so good.
  7. Monkeywrech sell the Kits. I'm sure the Exhaust professional will fabricate you the Y pipe and will have no dramas if you have the cash! If they do AWD, FWD, RWD cars every day all day. I'm sure they wont be alienated by an Aurion / TRD Aurion :P Not sure if a Motec or Haltec will correct the error code due to the out of range information coming from the sensors.
  8. Dont buy from R-style m8 you will have no warranty if it doesn't match up or fit your left with it, plus they will be more than happy to sell a forigner a grill for 3900 Baht to 9000 BAHT!! (rip off! no Thai would spend that!) but quote my Thai mate 950 Baht ! http://www.zenithautosport.com/ Zenith Auto Sport will be more than happy to find any body kit you need. look at the pics shown in the thread Thailand Aurions, their cars are modified by Zenith. Zenith have quality control and sell Ultra racing strut bars, and loads of kits, brakes never seen on our cars. If you got money to burn on kits and brakes plus International shipping, (I don't!) They also do International warranty! and don't make up prices for foreigners! (ferang friendly)
  9. That's good to hear Shadow!! I think you guys have been way to hard on this guy!! even if he did break it so what! that just means it's is poor build quality and should be replaced ASAP!! I have stored all kind of stuff ranging from 1 to 5 KG in the cup holder on the way home from Bunnings and it's never split, cracked or shown any signs of wear. I know all of you disagree and once someone popular disagrees it's like a chain reaction. The bottom line is if it's under warranty it should be replaced with little questions asked. If it was stone chips from a long trip then I would agree with you all, but the interior in the Aurion is crap! and I can imagine that some are worse! I had my dash and air vents replaced due to squeaks and general poor quality! without any back talk what so ever. So why cant Toyota pay the same respect to everyone.
  10. Have a read of Steve's post again. He is referring to having much larger brakes on the front without doing anything to the rear. These cars you are referring to like the EVO's etc, if you pay attention, you will notice that a larger front brake upgrade is complimented with a rear brake upgrade. Take the XR6 for example. A standard XR6 has 298mm rotors on the front and 303mm rotors on the rear. The XR6 Turbo on the other hand has 322mm rotors on the front and 328mm rotors on the rear. No point being able to stop on a dime in a straight line if it can't keep your car controlled when trying to brake in other scenarios. Yeah of course mate that's why I said I agree with all four being upgraded. I would hate to see the effects of heavy braking with 6 pot @ the front and stock on the back, Would look good tho lol bit of a front mono hahahaha I personally feel that the stock brakes before upgrading my Rotors and pads where quite average. Now they are much better but not perfect for my aggressive driving style :P I would definitely like to upgrade in the next year, I will not go for 6 pot that's just going overboard plus more money than sense The Thai's can afford it because they have good jobs and parts are at least 80% cheaper. I will go the Front and Rear Brembo or Endless kits. I have now been told there's a Toyota God and VIP upgrade shop in Chon Buri, I will get my cousins email and see if I can get a web address for the upgrade centre and learn more about the brake modifications / prices /and int availability. Becaiuse according to the Thai's it's under 2k for upgrading all 4. If I can keep a secret bank account from the wife and save 2K that will be awesome!!! she wouldn't even notice the Big F Off brakes hahaha :P
  11. Maybe, However Evo's STI's Clubsports Falcon Turbos etc the list of family and non track cars that have Brembos installed goes on. I totally agree with you regarding upgrading all 4 calipers and rotors. According to the Thai forums, they should squeak for the first 5 brake applications then they are warm enough for normal driving conditions. In Thailand it's pretty hard to drive over 80 because of the major traffic (about 1000% more than Sydney peak hour :P ) Saying that I saw a drag race between a GT3 Porsche and Ferrari on the Chon Buri express lane :)
  12. Realistically, the front strut tower brace doesn't really improve the cornering abilities of your car. It does however improve the cornering feel of your car. It's like changing your running shoes. A new pair may feel more comfortable but it won't make you faster. You will however get a surprisingly large improvement by upgrading your rear sway bar so I'd highly recommend doing that. If the strut brace was enough to amaze you, you'll drop your jaw after upgrading the RSB. holy crap if it gets better than I have then yes the rear bar is next !! thanks DJKOR. Ultra Racing Malaysia's explanation of the 2 in accordance with each other.
  13. Did you get the T3 Club Spec too same as mine. there absolutely awesome!! Just need better brakes, the Aurion Brakes are pretty average! I'll be getting the in laws to bring me back the Brembos in April hopefully. I'm estimating they will brake up to 120% more effectively too, I'm not to fond of the appearance of the Stock brakes too.
  14. Absolutely. In accordance with the front brace and a Rear sway brace, it's suppose to reduce body roll up to 40% :)
  15. Just keep an eye on ebay. I sometimes see the centre console components on there. usually around $20 - $50 if I remember.
  16. Siam Paragon is amazing!! there's Lambo, Lotus, Maserati, Porsche on the 4th floor, and a sick 4dx Cinema on the top level and 1 of the worlds largest aquariums too.
  17. Just a few of the jaw droping Aurions I saw at the Camry Exhibition Central World Bangkok
  18. Your car starts at a high rev in order to warm the engine up quicker. if you wait for about 1 to 2 minutes the RPM's will drop down to 500RPM or lower and it will not idle as hard. 6L Commodores vibrate throughout the whole body :P
  19. factory warranty being that it wasnt caused by a human, eg, you mustve jammed something big in there to fit, and caused to crack. OK, take out the cupholder middle bracket thing. and it fits a Ice coffee carton nice :P hehe
  20. Wouldn't factory warranty cover it?? They would have to replace the whole centre console that pops out. wouldn't they? that's the usual way they deal with replacements I thought.
  21. An amazing Audio system in a Thai Aurion :)
  22. I ran out of money shopping :)Bought Tien, DVDsat Nav and 2 UR bars, K&N filter, and mufflers and Club Spec T3 DBA slots, as well as went crazy at Gucci and Lacoste :P my wife spent 2k on makeup maximum weight to bring back was 40KG too . but mark my words next trip I'll get them, Others don't know, Aussies don't mod their cars like the Thais because thos brakes would cost 10K here! as everything is a BIG Rip Off in Australia. I believe they turbo charge their 2GRFE engines too. but that a different thread. Here are my new brake rotors installed today :) Out with the Crusty old! Retail Thai Value for DVA Club Spec T3 6000BAHT ($180) Looks Great!
  23. Yeah about 50,000 Baht ($1600 Aus) which is what we pay for mags, so why not m8 :) they will definitely stop you in hurry :P
  24. maybe he use to have a 1.4L engine before :P
