  1. chances are its your oil pressure sensor. if your engine is only revving to 7k rpm, its the little plug next to your lift solenoid. costs like 16$ for a relacement, try that should fix it. otherwise probs low oil.
  2. could be a few reasons but if your car isnt revving past 7k rpm, most likely its something to do with your lift engagement, check your oil level, check your OCV screen for dirt, replace the oil pressure sensor ($18) next to the lift solenoid, could even be that the oil sensor plug isnt plugged in...
  3. I have a PFC + handcontroller for sale, I can make you a wiring harness but it will be extra...
  4. Apexi powerfc + harness will cost u around 800+400 = $1,200 include a tune may set you back another $750 Best bang for buck ECU would be a camcon, you can pick one up for between 300-350$ wire it in yourself, and adjust your tune according to someone else's powerFC tune map. I believe someone has posted up a stock VVT map so you just adjust the camcon for the difference, it can also add and subtract fuel to get your fuel trims nice and level but you dont need to do that as the main gains will be from the cam adjustments. the Camcon does only run on a 2dimensional map so it doesnt account for part throttle position but you can tune out your mid and top end which is when you floor the accelerator anyway. its not like you drive at 5-8k rpm at part throttle anyway... Only problem is that they are hard to find and people will try to sell them for a higher price
  5. I concurr with the aftermarket flywheel comment, Im running the chromoly lightweight flywheel and between 2500 - 3000 rpm it mades a shuddering sometimes. Just get a Sports organic clutch over a HD clutch with a heavy duty pressure plate. no big difference but the pedal feel is alot stiffer with a heavy duty pressure plate. I broke the clutch spring in my exedy HD clutch. the gearbox is now running smurf blood....smooth as.
  6. Im just keen to find out who does 2zzge engine refreshes in Syd if say I wanted to get the valve train built or new block. Further, Im keen to find out who does custom fabrication in Syd if I wanted to get a new plenum built and welded up
  7. Yeah sounds like something is up with ur engine or your just driving around with a full load all day
  8. need to know the specs...of it before i can buy, if this is only 2.5" or 2.75" then why would I even get it
  9. where did u get urengine work done? im in parra, just up the street
  10. are you able to tell me the diameter of the CAI at each end of the CAI and also the diameter at the MAF bung?
  11. Lol, I was considering boosting, but just need to find a kit, did u have to do any internal engine work? and did u have to do get it engineered? gladesville is pretty close, wouldnt mind meeting up to check out your car sometime
  12. Have you actually got that fitted? if so let me know where u got it done and how did u have to remap the ECU to mafless, Im trying to find a corolla plenum as it has the joint so u can separate the runners from the plenum.
  13. guys summer is here and wondering if coolings gonna be an issue , wondering if anyone is running uprated radiators for the sportivos, standard core is 16mm, got my eye on a 24mm any issueswith running a thicker core radiator?
  14. some guy was selling in the buy sell section of the forum, thrn u jst need to buy/make a harness and get it tuned
  15. I dont think it will blow up your engine, it just means that blow by gases are escaping at idle. its the same as soemone just putting on a crank case filter and just running to atmosphere without the vacuum of the plenum. I think you should utilise a smaller hose with an adaptor on the plenum or the stock oem one. I dont know how to upload pics on this post... let me know and i'll send u pic
  16. if the pipe is collapsing all thats happening is that the vacuum is too much for the pipe, its effectively keeping your PCV valve open at idle and low rpm, where normally your PCV valve would be closed. see if you can find an adaptor possibly
  17. So i've been reading up on the porting of the intake plenum and intake runners on the 2zzge to net gains, Has anyone done this on the forum? and if so where and how much for in Sydney? Alternatively, anyone know of custom intake manifold other than the D&D research ones?
  18. just not enough after market support for 2zz. also people selling stuff for the 2zz want and am and leg for the parts...but if u know what to work, its pretty good, its a very light engine too.the main restriction appears to be on the intake side of things, if youport iut the mouth on the intake runner side just where it meets the plenum, it appears there are gains to be netted, wouldnt be messing with the runners themselves as that might change airflow characteristics...
  19. what state you based in? if you can hear it cross into lift but then die at 7k rpm, could be as simple as replacing a 15$ oil pressure sender which you can buy from sca or repco, next to the vvl solenoid. also test out ur vvl solenoid by passing a current through it. it shouldmake a click click sound. make sure all ur engine ecu sensor plugs are firmly connected
  20. The fn2r engine is 147kw from memory K20a3. the 158kw engine is the Ep3 k20. 2zzge engines last ages, just look at the celicas with 300,000kms on the engine. Reconditioning an engine would cost u between 2-4k depending on what needs to be done, labour will kill the cost, especially if you gotta pull your engine, ideally, if you had a second engine in pieces, build that one up and put it in. you can check the MWR website for parts to put in your engine, Im pretty sure if u blow ur engine u can source a second hand 2zzge for about 2-3k from a wrecker. Sportivo's pulls great as the fn2r, as the fn2 weighs almost 150kgs more, and they handle similar, just the sportivo should need some stiffer springs and lowering but they have the same suspension setups ie. rear torsion beam. --- A stock sportivo is quite de tuned, alot of hondas are tuned from factory. so if you want your sportivo to handle and drive great, abit of work may be required. Im very happy with mine and havent felt the urge to change after being in hondas and turbo cars...and you cant beat that 4 door practicality
  21. Michael, Have you gotten + where did u get your intake manifold port + polished? Also have you gotten your head ported + polished? how much etc.? Last time i remember u blew ur engine and just got a new engine?
  22. trd springs and shocks for 1.5k...no wonder you didnt install them... for that price you could have aftermarket shocks springs installed and money left over for that CAI
  23. lol just checking forum for sells if none ill try to get greddy from mwr
