hey guys looking to purchase a new gearbox for my 05 corolla sportivo just courious on where is the best to buy one from and where is the cheapest cheers guys

hi mate dont mean to be rude but try searching it , it has been covered plenty of times. ur best bet would be by starting with - Intake ( CES , SIMOTA , TRD , INJEN ) - Exhaust( any type really just to help the engine breath - Aftermarket ECU ( power FC ) - Coilovers - Braces/sway bars eg : HD rear swaybar , front strut brace - Heavy duty clutch ( Exced ) - engine mount inserts - Extended push rod i could go on forever there is plently it just depends how deap ur pocket is and how serious u are about ur car. if you have any questions about the car just pm me and im keen to answer. cheers mate Jake.

From the sounds of that mate sounds quite like the tensioner there pritty prone to ****ting themselvethes on the 2zz's , like the other guys suggested remove the drive belt and see if the noise is still evident. Jake.

hey mate look all i need is the housing where the rear engine mount snapped it is ur one undamaged also with the price i dont no what to offer honestly , im on shiiting apprentice wages lol and arnt in a great finical state but if u want to throw me a reasonable offer that will be great thanks mate

oh wow makes me feel so much better knowing it has happened to someone else , when u say u have a housing laying around is it undamaged and for sale ? and what did u end up doing to resolve the problem mate

hi guys well i recently changed my clutch and everythink was going ok till yesterday i noticed a gearbox oil leak i jumped under and found that where the rear engine mount bolts to the bellhousing ( the 3 bolts ) the bolts have cracked out the side of the bell houseing and only 1 bolt is holding the mount inplacen , im asuming the cause of this is because my front engine mount is cracked and this would have promoted excessive engine rock but this is pritty serious , im just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them or where is the cheapest / best place to get a new gearbox from cheers guys

Hey guys well today i started ripping my box out and once i removed the battery i realized the windows were down so i reconnected the battery and put the ignition on and only the driver window was working , the only stuff that was disconneted was afew earths to the gearbox which wouldnt affect the windows. Just wondering if they need to be reset and how cheers guys BTW i have a corrola sportivo

yeh my speed was like 143 km or sumthing around that and i would ran a better time tho my pressure plate has lost its spring tension and isnt relesing the load from the box witch means i it was **** hard to get second gear and i was falling out of the lift range :(

ended up runing a 15.9 with a .023 reaction time :)

Hey dave I have done the following so far: - Painted rocker cover - Adjust clutch - Changed gearbox oil - Weather shields - TRD HD Rear sway bar - TRD Front strut brace - I have brought my excedy HD clutch which ill be doing this weekend, also adding nylon G70 additive - Have my simota CAI on order - Have TRD Rear strut brace on order - Next mods are probley coilovers asap posibily Tein , extended push rod , hondata inlet manifold gasket and a few other little bits and pieces for the time being cheers mate

Hi guys i purchased some weather shields for the corolla sportivo from ebay they arrived today and while fitting them i noticed the rears seam to short has anyone had this probem , am i fitting them wrong or have i recieved the wrong set cheers guys

I Recently brought a sportivo and about 2 weeks in i started to get the 1-2 and 2-3 crunches which sucked having just brought it i knew when i was looking at 1 that the boxes had issues anyway i changed the box oil to nuylon smooth shift and added G70 additive also it fixed the crunching factor though i could still feal it not disenguaging full so i adjusted the clutch giving it more stroke and its fantastic now i can slap gears all day , im in the sydney area mate and if ur still having issues with it all be more than happy to lend a hand.
