Hey i have a rav4 not the current 2.4liter but the 2 liter. A lot of people do think that being a higher awd that it has the tendancy to roll or topple over but they are really quite firm through the corners an it would take a fair bit of speed to push one over <_< . I do know of someone who has a 99 rav4 who has done a 3sgte conversion from a celica gt4 (st205 i think) andrew is his name, he would be a wealth of knowledge on the conversion... check it out at http://www.rav4oz.com/forums

I hope that our updated stivo looks a lot like that Japanese sports version, that is one sexy car... well we can always hope

Hey sorry about posting in the wrong section, my apologies... Yeah the only reason i took a look at them was because one left me for dead at a set of lights lol It may be one quick car but just the looks an the cramped interior just dont do it for me, whats the use of having a pocket rocket if your not comfortable whilst driving it. The stivo has much greater interior appeal.... :) Jason

Hey guys, just checked out the new clio sport 182 an was just wondering about your thoughts on it as it looks pretty quick 0-100 in 7.1 secs. Dont get me wrong i love the sportivo but it looks like quite a nice little package, only problem being it is a little small an cramped for my tastes... Yeah I would say the dimming is normal... I have a RAV4 an when you put the windows up it also dims, actually if I hit the breaks it dims aswell. I think a better battery would improve things a bit!!!

Just wondering where you found out this information? If toyota is going to bump up the price an have leather only as an option then im really going to reconsider purchasing a new one :( All the information ive been hearing says that toyota are only going to increase the price a little but keep all the key features of the old model....

Well after hearing all that maybe i am reading into it a bit too much, the sportivo at the moment is the only car in that price range which i am keen on plus i am a diehard toyota fan!!! Maybe im a bit cautious aswell because at the moment i own a 2001 Rav4 an havent had one thing wrong with it apart from the pesky dash rattle!!! thats why i just thought it a little strange for a toyota to have a few issues, but not to worry the rav stays until the new stivo is released!!!

Ive been waiting patiently for the new sportivo for ages now as i thought they were headed here by the end of this year... But also after all the problems im reading about owners cars on here it has put me off purchasing one a bit. Now im not sure whether i should wait for the new sportivo if its going to have the same issues as the current model or will toyota wake up an rectify things... whats your opinion guys? :(

NOBOADY HEARD OF SUSPENSION? In Europe its already out. Apart from slightly different looks you get new suspension which alone is wort waiting for. It's as comfy as before, but in turns feels like CTR. It has shocks with sort of "return springs" built in (they help to expand the shock) plus strut braces with dynamic stiffness control. Look beautiful. Impossible to cheaply install in before face lift due to different shock mounts. The South African and Australian versions DO NOT get the suspension mod. Also, the Optitron dash stays in the Stivo / RunX RSi The "silver bits" gets replaced by carbon fibre look finishes. The seats remain unchanged BTW, the Stivo is likely to reach Aussie shores only in the new year!!! Do you know for sure that it wont reach aus until next year? I heard it was headed here in a few months..... i cant wait that long...

Hey just signed up but been checkin out this site for ages as im buying a new model stivo when they come out. Ive read in a local paper that the new model with still have the leather, red optitron dash etc... its really only the outside an some minor suspention tweaks which have changed... i think its a bit lower than the older model.....
