  1. Thanks for that man. I'm in Berwick, South-East, I'm happy to travel if you're not too local but yeah, I'll dig around to try and find the original guide to it. I have a feeling DJKOR's old thread about doing his AUX workaround might have the sufficient pointers I need. Thanks again mate.
  2. Hey guys, Was just wondering if anyone's come across a noteworthy manual/video or just plain tips to accessing/removing the factory radio unit for a 2008 Aurion? I've come across this to install into the Aurion which seems to be a lot easier on the wallet than most other kits. I'm keen to try and install it myself so if anyone can put in their 2cents with experience or know of where I can gain more knowledge to help guide me, that would be great! :D Thanks again guys!
  3. That's cool Remon but I was wondering if anyone knows any cheaper workaround? I know DJKOR's idea was cheap and apparently easy if you know the basics of soldering etc. I sort of failed at soldering 2 wires in year 9 to make a clock so I've sort of permanently given up on the whole handyman thing. :P If anyone knows of or has done it in the South-East Melbourne area and is willing to do it for me within the next week, I'd be glad to shout them a 6 pack of their favourite brew. Thanks again guys.
  4. Hey guys, So I've finally given in and decided to toss out the FM transmitter for music. Now I followed DJKOR back when he first brought up his DIY aux trick. Now my question is, will either of these work the same way as DJKOR's original DIY setup? Kit #1 and Kit #2 is what I've found so far. If anyone has any other cheaper alternative which does not involve soldering etc, that would also be greatful. (: Thanks again guys.
  5. Thanks for that mate, any idea if I can get it so it's a female port rather than male?
  6. Hey guys, Is anyone or does anyone know of anyone who is willing to do the Aux Input mod for my Toyota Aurion for a 6 or 12 pack of your favourite beer? :D I'm only free after 6pm weekdays but weekends I'm available all day. I'm in South-East of Melbourne so anybody relatively close would be great. :P Danke. <3
  7. Hey guys, So I just got my '08 Aurion in white. Anyway, I've swapped it over from a 03' Falcon BA XT. I originally had some some sound mods in it, I had replaced all factories with the fronts running Alpine SPR-17C's and the rears running SPR-57C's. I also run a dual channel amp to power 2x 10" generic subs which actually punch pretty hard, unfortunately with a slow response. Just to let you know, the subs will not fit into the boot of the Aurion so I guess I'll be strapped for bass? So I was wondering if, I should (to obtain best quality with the essence of that punchy bass from the subs): A. Just keep the factory speakers/factory unit and try to possibly wire the factory speakers to the amp myself. B. I had plans to upgrade the factory unit to have DVD etc, so should I just hold out until that comes and wire it up to the speakers WITHOUT an amp.
