  1. What purpose does it serve when it is not busted? There must be some reason to build it in the first place.
  2. My daughter smashed a roo tonight and the white resonator bottle was smashed all over the bitumin. What if I just blank off the hole in the intake tube, will it detune the engine and make it guzzle fuel?
  3. 2009 Edge hatch has front passenger window not working. Checked fuses under the dash. Found right front elec window, right rear, left rear and moonroof BUT no left front electric window fuse. Does anyone know why it doesn't have a fuse? Is it on another fuse labelled for something else?
  4. On my 2009 edge it is barely noticeable but on the 2008 conquest it is really quite ugly so it must just be the luck of the draw in the factory. If I had a bad new one I would try for the free dash mat, It is pretty poor QA at Toyota.
  5. As far as twist go, if only one is straight I will still be out of my hole, if two ars straight all the better. On the subject of the spare fitting in the boot, I have had a bit more of a think, the infill foam will fit if I put the tyre in upside down and I will just need to turn a spacer on the lathe out of nylon to take up the extra space under the tie down bolt. Just have to make sure the dress face of the alloy doesn't touch the floor of the pan anywhere.
  6. Thanks Pete, you really dug us out of a hole, and it was really good of you to bring them up to meet us in Tamworth, hope you had a good trip back through the storms. We have 5 mint wheels now so we just have to shuffle the good tyres on to them. General Info - Stock alloys dont fit in the boot, hold down bolt becomes too short and Foam packer is too deep, oh well had to be tried!
  7. I have this same problem in my 1998 HZJ75 Ute. I believe what is happening when the button is pressed it is turning off the solenoid valve to the main tank but not turning on the (faulty) valve on the sub tank. It runs a bit longer than three seconds but it is just as hard to restart if you let it stop as if you ran out of fuel.
  8. I am looking for a member travelling up the New England highway from sydney who could help me get a set of wheels upto Glen Innes, I would like to help you buy your fuel.
  9. It's on a set of nearly new dunlop tires so I don't really go to a wider rim. No advantage in using fancier tyres out here on bush roads anyway, just adds to running cost when you put a rock through one.
  10. Thanks jeffbro, thats the two bits I can't readily measure, got the calipers out to measure the centre hole and we are done. I am just holding off in hope of landing originals before I go down the aftermarket track but it seems that most the nice wheels are not available in 6.5 x 16 anyway.
  11. Anyone know the wheel spec? I know they are 16 x 6.5 but what offset, what stud spacing etc?
  12. My daughter left the road yesterday, knocked the tyre off the rim and buckled her alloy front wheel. I priced a new one this morning ( $1033) and now that I have regained consciousness I am looking for a wrecker breaking a 2007-2009 conquest with 10 spoke type B wheels (not the Y spoke ones like my "edge" has, just the straight spoke) I only need one, not a full set, just as long as it is straight.
  13. Hello all, Oh well I drive a 2003 KL Mitsibishi verada. I also have cars for my mum and the kids, 2009 Corolla "Edge" Hatch, 2008 Corolla "Conquest" Hatch and 2003 Corolla "Conquest" Sedan. I also have my sisters 2007 Aurion "Sportivo" Sedan in the shed, she has gone to New Zealand for work so it is about to get advertised.
