  1. Thanks for the reply. My concern is if I wind an inch of preload on to the springs the piston will be under 225lbs or 100kg of preassure when the wheels come off the ground. could this damage or pull the guts right out of the shock?
  2. Can I damage the piston in my koni coilovers by putting to much preload on them?
  3. Got some CWEST coilovers, I did not even know CWEST made coilovers anyways they have just been rebuilt with Koni Yellow inserts so should be good to go. come with two sets of front springs different rates. Hopping to install them next weekend.
  4. Just brought one of these http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/displayapplications.asp?partnumber=12577 Same size as stock with in a few mm but straight through and 1/4 of an inch bigger piping. Hopping it will give me what it want.
  5. Na haven't got there yet, I seem to be making all sorts of little changes and given the Camcon is a fine tuner I don't want to do it yet. Also I'm considering selling the Camcon and going standalone...
  6. Fitted the Tom's flywheel and Exedy Clutch. According to my kitchen scales it weighs 3.6Kg This was a little difficult to get back when doing the work on the driveway at home. Also installed a new clutch release bearing (not shown in the picture). All instilled torqued correctly with a torque wrench and a bit of three bond thread locker on the ARP bolts and pressure plate bolts. While I was in there I tried the shifter bearing mod, so far I like the result.
  7. So I'm ready to bite the bullet and buy a set of Koni's, I just curious are you on 'super low' or 'low' kings as I'll be buying some at the same time and I like your practical ride height. Thanks
  8. I always ran Castrol Syntrax 75w90 synthetic in my Subaru STi and now I use it in my Corolla's six speed with a bit of Nulon G70 as advised on this forum with great results. Chances are you should track down a service manual and see what viscosity oil I calls for and go with that.
  9. Replaced the gearbox oil, took it for a drive. Wheels broke loose in 2nd when hitting lift, went from 6000rpm to 8000rpm in a split second = Big smile on my face. Now driving gently to breakin in new parts like I really should. Just need an deacent exhuast to really maximize.
  10. do not wash the car.... Installed a Tom's ultra light weight flywheel 7.9lbs according to my kitchen scales and a Exedy HD clutch kit at home in the driveway what a mission. Can't wait to test drive it. Dropped a bit of gear box oil so have wait till tomorrow when I can fill it up.
  11. Hi, Does anyone have a Injen Technology Ea Nanofiber Amsoil Air filter. I'm looking for a replacement, found one on Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/Injen-Technology-X-1010-BB-AMSOIL-Nano-Fiber/dp/B001NF4N8Q) but I hear they actually ship the "BR" model (red in colour) not the "BB" Can anyone confirm or sell me one, Thanks. Cheers, Reliable
