Yeh happy with my sportivo as i'm sure you are too :)
  3. If you really want flush look I recon you can go with +35. I think 40 offset will stick in still. I got 19x8.5s +35 on my other car which i only had them on for 1 week and might be thinking of changing (yes already). you interested? Ps: they're not the 20s i currently have for sales.

    Calling 6th Gen-ers

Guys, pls copy the list and add yourself to the list. I think the list is somewhere back a couple of pages?
  5. I have recently bought these but they are abit big for my car. They are 20s but the design makes them look 19s. Spec: 20 x 8.5 ET38, 20 x 10 ET38. Tyres are about 70% Perfect for Aurion or Camry (depending on your setup). $2050 for the set. Ps. Don't be deterred by the size 20". The design of the wheels make them look smaller than what they really are. Pls send me PM if you are interested.
  6. Does anyone know where to get these rubber strips for DIY or where to get them replaced? Something like this. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v451/MD1032/Corolla%20window%20runs/IMG_2717.jpg The sun and ageing of the rubber makes it pealing and sort of bubbling.
  7. The ratio of falcons/commo : camry taxis are like 100:1 if not less in Sydney.
  8. I think you have the aurion manual instead of the camry. My manual says H7 as low beam! Haven't tried the high beam yet, but the low is easy, just take the rubber cover off, reach for the bulb and twist it counter clockwise, If you are referring to actually removing the bulb from the socket, you just yank it out use some sort of sharp tool cos it might be hard if the bulb hasn't been removed for a while. The bulb's two legs slots on the socket,
  9. Refer to your service manual, I got H7 as low, HB3 as high.
  10. 300 bucks for the whole headlight is cheap. Just get oem can't go wrong.
  11. yeh i bought a H7 bulb and now sourcing the bracket from a wrecker, i think i need to cut the bracket so i can slide in the cable.
  12. Well today I tried installing and there was only think that I cannot do, and that was running the cables through the metal thingy. The plug to the ballast was too big. Is there a way around this?
  13. I'm thinking of trading them in for the same wheels but in 19s but at tempetyres, unless sold prior. These are it. PCD are machined by them to fit 5x114, i have had these wheels for as long as i can remember currently still on my car and has 50% tread left. http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=&part_no=726
  14. Regular oil changes will lessons the amount of dirty build-ups remaining inside the engine. You cannot completely remove old oil, so the longer the dirty oil stays in your tank the more build-ups likely to past through the engine...and stay there. Over a long period of time every moledules counts. You can spend $100s on top quality oil and change them at 10,000km, or you can spend less but correct recommended grade and change them every 5000Kms, the result might be the same costs wise over a period of time, but not the build-ups.
  15. 15000 per oil change isn't that too long? I changed it every 5000 and even then the oil are blacker than the black hole.
  16. Somone must have had big plans for this car. New owner will ride roughly the way it is i think.
  17. If i do go with 18s it will be a swap over from my other car which is 225/40/18 (Ecsta Sevens KU23 i think). So the deal is this. Camry ===> 225/40/18s from other car (50% tread left). Other Car ===> 225/35/19s (roughly $1700, new tyres probably Nexen N8000). ETA roughly 3-6 months. Or get new 17" oem brand (Michellin) tyres for roughly $900 (set of 4) ETA roughly 3-6 months.
  18. I got the wheels in mind just not sure about parting with my oem 17s. The current ride is just too smooth... That said, anyone have experience with 225/40/18s on the Camry, say with Kumhos?
  19. No i'm not. Thing with 18s is i would want to run 45 series tyres or bigger to make the ride comfy. And what to do with the stock 17s?
  20. Probably not, but would be good to see pics of your car on 18s.
  21. I used to own an SX 1.6L and it sat around 2600rpm going at 110km/hr
  22. Definitely too high 2900rp,. I'd be not pleased. Camry does the 110-120km/hr @ 2100rpm
