  1. Hi all, Just wanted to add some pics of the upgrade I have just finished in my Aurion. Replaced the Head Unit with a Pioneer 2 din unit and replaced the 6 x 9's in the front and rear. I left the stock tweeters in the dash. The thing that I have done differently is to reuse the factory speaker as mounts for the new ones. I cut out the old cone, magnets and baskets and then mounted the new speakers through the top of the plastic sorround/spacer. I used speaker gasket foam between the speaker and the spacer and between the spacer and door/parcel shelf. It worked out really well. I also put in a Vifa dual voice coil sub and an Ultimate 4 channel amp in dual bridged mode running the sub. Sounds great, very clear and punchy at all levels.
  2. On the passengers side of the firewall (from the engine bay) you will see a loom that goes into the firewall. On either side of it there is a long nipple of hollow rubber. What I did was cut the end off and fed the power cable through from the inside (passengers foot well). You will need to remove the bottom cover attached to the glove box. Easy option and the wire is sleeved in the rubber.
  3. Aerpro.com.au or any local car parts place can get them. Good quality 1 or 2 din install kits for Aurion/Camry. Along with wiring harnesses and adapters. Just get a good 2 din head unit with good sound quality or a factory GPS unit. My 2 cents worth anyway.
